Barbara and I have decided to ride to St Augustine from Daytona Beach, tomorrow...Dr. MLK Day.
Spend an hour at the Fort (it is free to enter because of a national holiday).
Then ride over the North causeway to "Caps on the water" for a bite to eat
and a libation.
Maybe stop at the Harley dealer (are they open?) on the way back.
Plans, as always, subject to change....could go to the Conch House for a bite instead...
Leaving Daytona about 11:00AM.

Headed up that way tomorrow, too. Leaving Orlando at 9:30. Interstate to Ormond Beach, then we're gonna ride The Loop over to the beach. We'll be on A1A up to St. Aug. Might stop at the lighthouse, but I'm planning to visit the fort before grabbing some lunch.

You're on a black Roady, right? I'll be on a midnight pearl Ultra, riding with a vivid black EG Classic and a black '03 Road King.

Annette has to work, so she can't go. I'll be riding solo on this one. Not sure where we're gonna eat. One of the guys wants to try Outback Crab Shack, but the reviews look a little iffy. If you see this, let me know where you decide to eat.

Be safe. I'll look for you out there.

I live in Ormond. My plan is to eat at Caps on the Water.
It's cool place North Of St Augustine. You go over the North Causeway......and look for a house that looks like a Castle on the left....a couple miles North. Turn left at the 'Castle' house.
We are leaving about 11...

We have WINNA!!!! Yup....Caps was closed and reopens on the 22nd. Still was nice ride up there. The parking lot at the Fort was packed....good thing they have motorcycle only parking at the ends of the rows.
Barbara and I ate lunch at the Conch House....about 1 1/2 mile south of the Bridge of Lions. Saw a few RGs around, don't know if any of them are members here. But if you see a guy on a Black Shark Glide and you say to yourself..."That guy kind of looks like Hulk Hogan.".....it might be me.
Hope you all got out and rode, where ever you went!

Sorry we missed you. Didn't park at the monument. Paid $10 for the three of us to park in a lot just over the bridge, grabbed a bite, walked out to see those old sailboats, then walked to the fort. Walked around the old village shopping area (not sure what it's called) then headed home.

Let's keep trying to connect.

Yep, I'm pretty sure we saw you. We were riding in to St Augustine from the north and passed the Fountain of Youth area on A1A when we went by you. It was about 1:15 pm. I was on a merlot sunglow RG Ultra, and my wife was on a Crimson CVO Softail Convertible.

We went to the fort and checked it out. Then we walked down to the A1A Ale House for a late lunch. Pretty good food and beer there!

Barbara and I like the the Ale House also. Just so much too see in St Augustine...we never get tired of it. I think we saw you as we were riding North.....we waved! When we found the resterant we wanted to go to was closed, I almost stoppoed at the A1A ale....but didn't want to fight for a parking spot, so we went to the Conch House. All in all a good day. Nice seeing the
Shark Glides that I did see on the road. Glad we were able to take advantage
of the weather.
