I agree, should come with one. They help some. I had to run the threads with a tap to clean out the paint on the trees to get the bolts in on mine.

I replaced the factory "dog dish" with the GlideAirDeflectorSystems Lower Triple Tree Deflector. IMO the GADS LTTD works better, less air from below...

GADS is a supporting vendor here, so let's show some support!!!

I looked at the GADS version and do try to support the forum vendors but the look of the kuryakyn part looks more like the HD dog dish and kinda "flows" better. Should be here next week. Unfortunately I won't be able to test it out for at least a month due to being stuck in the Midwest

The dog dish was stock equipment on my 08, I am not sure when HD stopped putting on the dog dish as standard equipment but I would guess that when the 09 new frame models came out HD made the dog dish optional.

I normally avoid Kuryakyn stuff but considering they refrained from their typical over the top styling on this piece I've decided to go ahead and order one up. For the life of me I can't begin to understand why a 30k motorcycle doesn't come standard with something that the older touring bikes all had from the factory, Harley doesn't even offer one for the Rushmore bikes!

I ordered one a couple weeks ago and installed it last week. Being a well bearded man, this has helped a TON! Before my beard would blow straight up in my face, now it stays down without any issues. Well worth it.

Meh, $30 piece of plastic. But if it offer significant improvement, I guess it's worth it.
Its actually metal. Very solid.

Excellent! Not a bearded man myself- damn work makes me shave. But thanks for the feedback

Well it showed up today and I have to say that it's a pretty nice piece. Don't know if it is worth the $26, I guess we'll see once I get out on the road with it.

Looking at where you live, and having lived in Rockford, Illinois for about 9 years, I gotta give you cred for your optimism! I gotta believe you'll still be in the hibernation stage in 30 days. I lived in that type of climate all of my life (Boulder, CO. maybe was an exception to the warmer side), I finally made the move south 30 days ago. Gotta say I'm loving it so far, but then again we don't have oppressive heat here this time of year.

Yeah, trying to be optimistic. It's been a pretty mild winter so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that elusive early spring we're always searching for.
