Well we made to our base camp in Sevierville. Staying in an absolutely awesome cabin between Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, TN. 500 miles yesterday to Louisville, KY and the remaining today. 99 degrees yesterday and not cloud in the sky. Today it rained for the entire trip, but we made it. You guys and gals weren't kidding when you mentioned traffic in this area. No worries. Went to grocery store and picked up some goodies and special drinks for the wife. She's trying to numb the sore @ss. The shark ran great. I will try to post some pics.

Highlights - National Hot Rod Assoc meet in Louisville and Logan's Roadhouse. Best talipia dinner I have ever had.

Put on about 200 miles today as it started to rain later in the day. Headed to Caves Cove and realized it opened at 10:00 am and we were there at about 9:00. Also, we were told by the staff that it was going to be a zoo so we headed out and ended up following some bikes that lead us the the Tail of the Dragon.

Arrived around 11:00 and thought it was going to be crowded, but didn't run into any traffic. We don't know if people thought it was raining. Did the route and had lunch at Deals Gap and headed back again. I was laughing as I continuously heard "aaaaaaah's" from the wife on the back. She loved it though.

Spent a couple hours at the HD dealer in Pigeon Forge. Bought some swag. Oil change as the wife did some school work at the library across the street. Great day.

Sorry no pics as I can't download them to the iPad.

Man your gonna love it down there. We rode 550 miles home yesterday and about 85% of the trip through KY was rain. We had to stop twice for heavy rain. I agree with the staff, avoid Cades Cove. We were told unless you want to push your bike through there stay out. Enjoy the riding and be safe!!
