Changed out the levers on my bike today and need new snap rings that hold the pins in. Anyone know what size I need? Lowe's didn't have any and trying to not make the 1.5 hr round trip to my closest Dealer

Do you have a True Value Hardware nearby? They, typically, have a huge fastener selection. They're my go-to for hard to find nuts, bolts, etc.

Fleet farm if you have one is a great source, or like smarty said, tractor supply. What did you do to the snap ring. I spread mine a little too wide, but was able to bend it back and haven't had any issues.

I see. I found it interesting that the two are different sizes. Clutch side is larger than the brake side. Not sure why, but noticed the clutch side is a plastic pin and the brake is metal. Guess I was thinking they would have been the same as the ones on my old 1995 were.

Haha, I almost broke one yesterday. It's really time to get some snap ring pliers.

Don't settle for a cheap set. There are some good ones out there. The replaceable tip models are recommended. I have a few that I like but the Craftsman pair that converts for both inside and outside rings are my favorite for small jobs...

I used to have a great pair like that at work with the tools they supplied, along with two more pair that only did one side each. Never really understood why they wasted the money on both. Thanks though, I'll have to look them up I think I have a gift card laying around here!
