Well, I'm not really a bad ass but people perceive me as one since I ride motorcycles. Anyhow, I recently hooked up with an old buddy from High School and he's a professional skydiver. He invited me skydiving because he seems to think I'm an adrenalin junky. Yes, I ride Harley's, Choppers and dirt bikes but skydiving scares the crap out of me. I'm considering going with him just because I want to face my fears. Has anyone on this site tried it?

Bunji Jumping!

I have done Bunji Jumping! Wasnt very high though, 10 storys up w/safety matt underneath me. It was a TRIP! Sky diving would be WILD! But I dont think like I used to. When I Bunjied, was in 95, so that was what,...bout 15 years ago? If I had a 8 pack of COURAGE I'd GO FOR IT! But I dont drink anymore either! Hmmmmmmmmm?

I am an adrenaline junky to a point I suppose ..

I did some pretty hairy things on a regular basis that cud really get your blood pumping and a real high pucker factor to boot with only the bat of an eye to recover for better or worse if something went wrong ..

I needed it , like a drug ..

But now I am more mellowed and fully realize my mortality ..

Have never done it , would probably do it , if given an opportunity like you , but I wont go searching for skydiving on my own ...

Never did it

I've done a lot of scary and wild things in my 40+ years...but Skydiving is not one of em...and to be honest..I think I'd be the guy who would CHOKE when it came time to jump. My GF did it Tandem at ten thousand feet. The advantage(or so I'm told;)) is that you get to experience a "freefall":D. So if you do it, try FreeFalling, if not you jump out at three thousand feet solo but your chute deploys(opens) immediately:(
Let us know if you do it.

And no SPLAT please

Thanks for all the comments. I don't think my decision is any easier. I'm getting together with him (and a bunch of old friends) tonight. I don't think any of my other friends will do it but I'm highly considering it. Hmmm, I'll have to find out some more details first.

Sky diving and golf fall in the same catagory with me.
Plane running good no need to jump out of it
Golf ball,, why hit it 300 yards just to chase it and hit it again???

20 bikes in line running 80 plus for 200 miles this morning ... gets the blood flowing

"*** Hockey" - That's hilarious.

Sky Diving - Go for it man. If you don't you will always know that the fear you mentioned OWNED you.

Since you have to live up to your Bad Assed Biker image, jump in ass-less chaps with a can of Milwaukee's Beast in hand. :D
