Anyone else having problems with the sound cutting out randomly for a few seconds and then coming back on? I have only noticed it when I'm playing my iPod ( don't usually use the radio) it doesn't happen very often and it comes back on a few seconds later in the songs.

If your phone is connected via bluetooth, the sound will mute briefly when you get a call or text.

Would help if you posted year of unit and any modifications such as amps, speakers, etc..

Sorry guys, it's a 2015 road glide special. This it with the iPod plugged into the USB port, it did it before and after adding an amp so I know it's not that. I tried a new cable and it didn't help either

I have a 2015 RGS too and my iPhone does the same thing. I was thinking it had to do with receiving a text or email but it seemed to occur more often than the got texts or emails.
Since you have an iPad, that may not be the cause. Let us know what you find out and I will do th same,

My bike did this after adding amp and speakers. Gain was up too high on the amp. Turned it down, fixed.

I get the same thing with my iPhone plugged into USB.

Yes I have experienced this issue, I use an IPOD connected to the USB in the glove box. Its very odd. I thought it was my IPOD so I wiped out the IPOD and reloaded the music and it still does it.

Well I guess it's good to know I'm not the only one, I will have to call the dealer and see if they have a fix and let you guys know!
