Soundstream amp question

if i use the hi input on Soundstream PN4 520 amp coming from the stock 2005 HU will I have to find a wire for the remote on or should it turn on o and off without?

Any experience on this

I believe you still need to hook up the remote wire to turn the amp on.

Amp questions again

it is my understanding if the hi in speakers are used as connector that will power up the amp.
looking for someone that has installed the Soundstream p4 520 model to confirm. I am more concerned that it auto shuts off so as not to drain the battery.

And what do you use to fasten in fairing. will it fit on top of radio?

It will not fit on top of the radio. I put mine on the right side between the inner fairing and glove box and used hook and loop tape to hold it. As for the remote wire I hooked it into the lighter

No remote is needed if using hi input. I installed both mine in rear saddlebags. Wanted access to them and didn't like the position in the front fairing.

I ran my soundstream off the hi input before adding a new radio. I did not use the ground in the center of the high input lines (just the + - ). I ran a remote wire from the extra wire on the head light harness covered by the red cover. Was it needed? I dont know? It takes a minute to run and every other system I have installed previously needed a remote wire.
