Hi Guys

I'm new here and have an opening question:

I'm installing a new pair of speaker grills in my 2002 Road Glide.
Has anybody replaced them before? The manual calls for an adhesive (3m 847).
I have the new grills and the adhesive and am ready to remove the fairing to begin the job. Is it pretty straight forward? Anything I need to watch out for?

I did not find anything doing a search but I might have missed it.

Thanks in advance. I hope to ride this guy until I'm done with my riding days since I'm 67.

Thanks

John

What you are doing is fairly straightfoward, putting the fairing back on can be challenge getting it all lined up right. I found it easier to reinstall if I removed the headlight assembly to allow my fat hands to fit inside to hang fairing on the hooks. Release the 3 green headlight adjusters and remove entir assembly, the simply push the green adjusters back in after fairing is on.

Welcome aboard, I see you dont live terribly far from where I work, if you need a hand just let me know and I can come by one afternoon after work.

Peace

Thanks caboverbob for the quick response. I'll hit you up if I hit a snag but I think you answered my question.

Thanks again

Hi Brent376

Thanks for the welcome. This is going to be a great resource and I'm pretty excited.

Hopefully see you on the road sometime. B.C is quite a ways.

2 things to remember while swimming around here...

1. This site is full of the best people you have never met.

2. If there aren't pictures, it didn't happen.

How do the new grills fit?
