That's a broad question that can get you lots of answers.

What year?

what's your budget? That can narrow it down..

Just speakers to add to a stock system? KAPPA 62.11i's for 15-17 model years... best bang for the buck

Like spazz stated you can get 100 different opinions. At one point i was changing speakers, and amps every week trying to find that magical setup. I am running hertz mille speakers now and couldn't be happier while they are reasonably priced.

Just remember ONE THING.... if you do it right the first time, you will save a lot of money in the long run.

If you just plan on replacing the stock speakers with no other upgrades... you have to stick with a 2 Ohm speaker setup. If you plan on adding additional components like an amp... STOP and do all the research you can before pulling the trigger.

Too many times you will hear of folks doing things over and over to get what they want because they settled on something less than they wanted.

I have close to $3000 invested in my system to include 6 speakers, amp, lids, lowers and speaker pods for lowers. It's not cheap, but I wouldn't want anything less.

All these guys just gave you great advice. Not much more to add to it. Spazz is correct, best bang for your buck add on is the kappa. Beyond that take brewiz's advice and give Sloride a call and shoot the chit with him about audio.

Wow that was easy. I done a lot of searching on this as well and went crazy on all the info.

I just settled on the plug and play systems out there for a one time shot at this. I know there is louder and better but I'm some what pleased with my purchase, if not for the ProPipe it would be a little better at 70 mph.

My truck and boat are outfitted with all JL Audio except for head units, bikes are a little more difficult to get dialed in to a personal liking I think.

Take the good advice they have given, Good Luck and welcome aboard.

I have the M500/3 in the boat and XD500/3 in the truck both class d amps. I have beat them both for 3-4 years now with no trouble form amps, speakers or subs.

JL is a great product, wish they had a plug an play for the bike.

Could I replace stock speakers only, with the KAPPA 62.11i's to my 2016 RGS using all other stock audio components- including stock amp? Would sound be louder and clear?

Yes they should swap out easily. I run JBL GTO638's and they are clear with the volume cranked all the way. These are truly the best bang for the buck at their current price

15/17 RG /RG'S DON'T come with an amp... just a head unit .. 2 ohm systems... if you want just speakers... Kappa 62.11i's are a good improvement over stock ... best bang. If you put 4 ohm speakers in you will lose 50% output

I put the Kappas in mine. It was a very marginal improvement. The highs are crisper and cleaner with the Kappas, and you can run slightly higher volume without distortion but you will still want more. But at least you will have good speakers that you can use with the amp you will eventually have to buy. Ask me how I know...

Started with just the Kappas, then added a Diamond 600 watt AMP, then I added the JBL 6x9's in the lids. Now I am happy..... For now..
