I just got the call today from the dealer. They installed and dynoed my new 15 shark today.
Tire shredder stage 5 with d&d fat cat and a compliant tuner
108rwhp and 108 torque.
The reason I weNt with the compliant tuner is they will cover the entire engine under my extended warrenty.
I've heard of guys getting 120-120 with a different tuner but I like having the warrenty to fall back on in 4 years time if anything happens.

I guess it's just differences with the different ESP's and different dealers but my 120ST is still covered after my 1yr factory warranty even though I have the race tuner. Plus it really baffles me that some dealers say they will cover the street tuner that is limited and not the race tuner that has the capability of making a much better tune for the motor. Congrats on the new kit and let us know what you think after you've been able to ride it for a while.

You really are leaving a lot of hp/tq on the table on this one. With that kind of money spent, I would get a real dyno done and you will be pleasantly surprised at how the bike will perform afterwards. The big thing is that a better tune will be easier on the engine. More fuel means the bike is gonna run cooler, plus better timing curves I'm guessing.

I'm wondering if I bring it to my Indy tuneR/Dyno if anything went wrong could he put it back to the tune that the street legal tuner came with???

He should be able to save your tune in a separate file though and put it back just in case. More than likely they just installed a download and ran it on the dyno. Like already said, your leaving a lot on the table.

So from what I am reading, they dyno'd the bike before any real break-in? If you paid for a full dyno tune, around $400 at most dealers, they should have loaded a base map and let you run the bike for about 1k for break-in and then take it back to them for a full tune. If they charged you that but just loaded a base map and did a pull for the numbers, they did not give you what you paid for.

I think this is what they did. I'll go back when my first service and get them to finish. Either that or get my Indy to do it.
I took it for a ride today, just a short short trip. Wow the throttle response is amazing. I'm not used to it yet. And the exhaust is way louder that my Vance and Hines dresser duels. I can't wait until it's warmer her in Canada. I'll put it through its paces

A guy I ride with has this kit on his 15' SG and traction is somewhat of an issue at times. :wink:

You're going to enjoy it.
