Picked up a King tour pack off of a 2001 EG Ultra. Has the backrest and the speakers. I want a cleaner look for it, can the speaker module come off. along with all the lights on the back. any help would be great.
That is an Ultra Tourpak. When you remove the rear light assembly there will be large rectangular holes to fill.
I would suggest you look to trade your tourpak with someone that has a true King tourpak say for a Streetglide or a Roadking, those tourpaks won't have the holes for the light assembly or the speakers and will give you a much cleaner look.
You can use mesh drywall tape on the inside of the pod holes adhered by abs plastic repair, which is sold at any auto parts/hardware store. Then once that cures, fill the holes from the outside with the abs repair goo & sand it smooth, followed by some body filler to smooth it all out. As far as the light bar holes, your guess is as good as mine on that one. That is a good price on that pak though.
If the light bar you are talking about goes around the whole back and wraps around the corners, then the corners will be cut out. If you are not an experienced body man, it will be a bitch to get the corners to look right.
I’m asking for recommendations for OEM/Aftermarket tour pack for a 2020 road glide. Matching paint, full back rest, speakers, luggage rack, quick release hardware. Any suggestions on good brands covering all the listed. Is any aftermarket ones the same or better than Harley. Thank you in advance.
Adding a tour pack and would like some recommendations between the chopped and regular. Rarely carry a passenger and usually do long day rides. I’m leaning towards the chopped because of the look but want to ensure I’m not neglecting functionality.
Hey all - I have a 2017 RGS laguna orange. I’m trying to find oem stretched bags. I’m not interested in the aftermarket “square” bottom look. Any info on how to find them or any leads on a set for sale would greatly appreciated! Much thanks!
