If the image is on your computer....open up the postimages site....

Click "choose images"

Find the image and double click on it...

Find the "Hotlink for forums" tab and high light and copy it or click on the blue "button" at the end of the link and it'll copy for you...

Then paste it into your post and you're good to go.

There ARE other sites that do the same thing. If you guys want to check them out.

Good info, Turbo. Gonna make this a sticky. Very disappointed with Photobucket lately.
Nice tool!
Thanks guys, The reason I went to photo bucket years ago was so I could post in forums. Hell, you're better off just keeping all your pics on YOUR harddrive so you can access them. I get being able to access them off your phone or another computer......but I can't remember the last time I NEEDED to do that.....show someone a old pic of a car/bike I used to have using my phone? Sure, on the rare occasion. But the hassle of photobucket has been great than the convenience.

AND now that I'm trying to download 40 gbs of stuff, it's giving me fits! It's gonna take hours upon hours.

So I'm gonna back up my phone on Flickr from now on and then just transfer to hardrive every so often and forget about photobucket.

Cheers!

I had 8 years worth of photos on Photobucket for the forums as well.

Really pisses me off the way this all happened shutting us down like to to collect cash.

So many posts with so many pictures that now have a blank picture.

I kept some and deleted my Photobucket account.

I've been using it for probably about that long as well. 50 Gb. I have a $5 a month or $10 a month plan. No more. I'm downloading albums as we speak. And then I'm done.

It sucks cause it'll break a lot of links on older posts......but I suspect we'll be seeing that in forums for a LONG time going forward.

Once I'm done.....I "may" try uploading it all to Flickr......they are currently 1000mb free....but I'll always keep a physical copy going forward.

I for one enjoy the large photos. I know some think it's a pain to have to scroll through so much in a thread because of the photo size but I personally don't think it's a big deal. Besides, what's the point in having a signature photo nobody can see? And when thumbnails are posted I think it's even more of an inconvenience because you have to click on it and then go back to the thread after you look at it. I still can't figure out how to move all my pics to the postimage.com site in one hit. Can anyone help me out?
