Just about got the scoots ready for a nice summertime road trip. Amsoil & Redline in the FLTRU yesterday wraps up the pre-ride maintenance.

Gonna head out of town, have a friend join us & ride up to Vegas for a night. Then we'll take a couple days up to Bend and spend a night at McMenamins Edgefield property in Troutdale.
From there we'll visit relatives in Olympia before stopping for a couple of days in Vancouver, BC. Pick up more friends there and ride thru Kamloops, Jasper & Calgary. Pick up more friends there & ride down into Glacier NP. We'll make our way thru Idaho and eventually stop to visit friends in Utah.
From there we'll take a couple days to get back home.
Looks to be about a 5,000 mile ride.

Leaving Vancouver two ways to get to Kamloops. All day but by far the best is thru Whistler , Lillooet , over to Lytton , then up the Fraser Canyon . From there you can stay on that to Cache Creek or a better way but a bit longer is turn Right at Spencer's Bridge over to Merritt then take 5A to Quichena Pub then a nice lake ride into Kamloops .
The other way is leave on the freeway out of town and then up the Fraser Canyon. Don't take Coquihal as it 4 lane all the way 3 1/2 hrs into Kamloops boring but if on a tight schedule

Yes, from Vancouver we are heading thru Whistler, Lilooet, Cache Creek & on to Kamloops.
From Kamloops it's north on 5 thru Clearwater to Tete Jaune Cache & 16 thru Jasper to 93 down thru Lake Louise, Banff & into Calgary.
From Calgary we'll ride thru Sparwood into MT thru Whitefish & ride thru Glacier (heading east) on 2 to East Glacier. The following morning we'll ride Going to the Sun Rd (riding west) and explore all day before stopping in Kalispell.

I hope you are going to follow the Sawtooth mountains following the river all the way thru Idaho. A very good ride.

From Kalispell we'll ride along the west of Flathead Lake down to Missoula. From there it's west on 12 thru Lolo NF & on to Kooskia where some friends will split off toward Lewiston & we'll head to McCall & then to Craters of the Moon. Then it's thru Pocatello & on to Ogden to visit friends.

Although it would mean separating from some friends earlier & missing the ride thru Lolo, taking 93 from Missoula to Arco looks like a great ride!

Have an opportunity to extend this trip by a week... if I can get the extra time off.
Instead of heading back home from Ogden, I would head east to Ft Collins (by way of Steamboat Springs) and meet up with some friends heading to Sturgis.
Would be able to do 3 nights in South Dakota & then head home...

Just got back from my trip yesterday afternoon. In total the trip was 24 days and covered 12 states & 2 provinces. Logged a total of 6,898.5 miles. What a ride. Back at work & feeling disconnected...

Looks good and the weather held out in the Rockies ? Nurse must of had a line up for her magic hands :wink:

Got caught in torrential downpour from Canmore to Calgary - soaked to the bone.
A little more rain the next day getting into East Glacier, MT.
Only got caught in a couple late afternoon showers in South Dakota.
And got caught in a thunderstorm once I got within 10 miles of my cabin in northeast AZ.
