Is anyone running synthetic oil that is other than Harley brand?

Mobile 1 V Twin oil here. Red line Shock proof gear oil in the trans.

+1 on the Amsoil. Just registered on their website and ordered a case. Came out to less than 10 bucks a quart. You can also get filters, fork oil, gear lube, fuel additives etc... All delivered to your doorstep.

Harley Syn 3 is one of the products I won't use, it's not full synthetic but they charge full price, who makes it, HD doesn't make oil.

Amsoil for me,20/50 in the engine,75/140 in the trans,and going back to 20/50 in the primary,see if there's any difference between that and synthetic ATF .Redline and Royal Purple are also good stuff,but last I heard,syn3 was supplied by Citgo i think it was.I'll be doing the 10k service this weekend.

Redline! I can now find neutral. It's a beautiful thing! Pricey though.

I just switched to amsoil at my 10k service. I used syn3 for the first 10k miles. I must say that when I drained the syn3, it was clean as could be. I even cut the oil filter in half, and it was clean.

Mobil 1 in eng. and prime and redline shock proof in trans. I use amsoil before its great but here in NYC it's hard to get and can't take a chance
