you adjust them the same as you would the incandescent lights. there are 2 adjustment screws on the inside of the fairing, one on the left side and one on the right. clockwise turn lowers the headlight, ccw raises it.

the dealer is lieing when he says it's a big job.

Do both sides equally, if the lights are good, right to left. A 4.5 mm socket or a 3/16 will also fit the adjuster.

edro62 When I tried to adjust mine it was a real PITA to get the socket on. I took an oversize drill and made the adjustment holes larger, on the inner fairing, and now it takes me just seconds to get the socket on and make the adjustment. It makes a huge difference for sure. Good luck

When I replaced the OEM bulbs with Daymakers on my '11 FLTRU I discovered that using the 2 adjusters accessible from the rider side of the fairing (cited a couple posts earlier in service manual) didn't allow for enough adjustment. Removing the outer fairing gives access to the third adjustment point, which then provides a different range of adjustment for the other 2. I had to go this route to stop people from flashing their brights at me.

On the 2012 there was hole in the rear of the fairing for a small nut driver to adjust the lights. Don't know if they changed it on the 13.
Same on my 10

There's one on each side, but that only provides access to 2 of the 3 adjusters. Access to the 3rd one requires removing the outer fairing... but only necessary if you can't get the range of adjustment required with only the 2 others.
