Ok so after a month i finally got my king t/p. I got the speaker pods as well. Has anyone installed one yet? is the speaker pod wiring already under the seat and just plug it in or do i have to pull the tank and run it up to the radio? The directions where pretty vauge when i glanced at them. thanks in advance. Any tips or tricks greatly appriciated.

your article is as astounding. The clearness in your publish is simply great
^^^^^^^^^^^???????????

Sorry I can't help you with the speaker issue...but I am also installing a tourpak on my '15, but without speakers. Are you installing the wrap around light as well? I am getting no lights when I plug in the extension harness. Just trying to see if anyone else has had this issue and possibly alert you to it as well?

I just added the wraparound LED light to my king. Dealer wanted to much labor for adding light and rack, but I did let the hd tech make an adapter harness so the standard TP wiring was plug and play to the bike. Maybe there's another way, I just wrote the check and didn't study it.

I'll ring out that harness and send you a schematic if you need it.

I know the 13 and under custom requires an add on harness and the ultra has the connections from the factory. I would think the 15s were similar.

Hey Gary R, thanks for the offer! I'll let you know if I don't get it figured out in the next day or two!
I supposedly got the harness I need, but it's not working and doesn't look like it's correct. It is a pass-through harness with two pig tails going to the side marker lamps and to the rear lights connector on top the battery. I've tried plugging it to the wrap-around light and I'm getting nothing. I think in the end, I'm gonna have to go to PCPain and talk to him about it. I got the parts from him.
Thanks, and sorry to the OP for hijacking your thread...but maybe it will help if you're doing the wrap around light?

I could make a harness, but I'd rather get the correct one from him.

Not sure you're correct here Perry. Teh '13 and under are not wired from the factory UNLESS they're Ultra's, and since the MoCo didn't offer the ultra road Glide except in a CVO version for '15, I'd go out on a limb and say that they're probably NOT wired for either the TP or the speakers. I could be wrong though, anybody else here know either way? Oh by the way, I did notice a gloss black '15 FLTRS on my dealers floor wearing a quick disconnect tourpack and speakers along with matching lowers. Didn't ask about the price but figured if you want one, they'll make one ( for the right price of course!)

I have a friend that just added a King TP with lights and speakers on his 15" RGS that he had the dealer install. Looks like they had to add a seperate harness under the seat for the lights and another harness all they way up into the fairing for the speakers. I'll check with him today to see exactly what they did to make it work and get back to you guys.

Ok, my issue is solved, when I looked at it with fresh eyes and a night's sleep, the pass-through harness is what I need. The two pig tails are brake light extensions and have all the correct wires already piggy backed onto the pass-through harness, so all I have to do is drill an access hole for a grommet, and splice and combine the wrap around harness into the pass through and I'm done. Hope this makes sense and helps!

i got the spoiler and light kit with mine as well. Something tells me this is going to be a pain in the but. Running wire is not one of my favorite things to do.
HA HA HA!!! I feel ya brother! Running wires IS one of my favorite things to do and I've been working at it all day and I'm WHIPPED....! Got my wrap around light harness all worked out and installed interior and saddlebag convenience lights as well, complete with a Molex connector for the convenience lights so I can quick disconnect them as well.
If I could figure out how to upload video I'd share it!:mad:

Getting 2015 FLTRXS and adding King Tourpak w/ lights and speakers

Okay, just sold my 1998 RG and a Buell and am getting a 2015 RG Special. I am adding a king tourpak to it and I am going to go with the wrap around smoke led brake/tail light and add the speaker pods too. Basically really close to an RG Ultra from 2013, just not the controls on speaker pods. I could use any help on part numbers for wiring harnesses for the light kit and speakers. I will do my very best to document this for future people because I know this is going to be a popular setup. Why else would there be so many RG Ultras on the road today? I have about 2 1/2 weeks to get this all done. Thanks.
