Piece of polished stainless, you could use the bolts from the tour pack rack up mount it, good idea.

Get a mirror at any store that she'll like then pick up a good industrial adhesive and stick it where she wants it. They make many different sizes, in frames or not.

A store with a good selection of camping gear should have a travel-safe (ie; NOT GLASS) mirror that is light enough to velcro to the inside lid (you could silicone it, but with velcro you'd have the ability to take it off and use to check under the bike without having to lay on the ground (like if something happened on the road and you're pulled off onto the shoulder). Chance of something like that happening is (very) small, but if there's a chance to make something a multitasker,at no additional cost, why not?

ETA: Sorry for the ebay link, but this is what I was talking about....might actually grab one (for camping) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heavy-Duty-Stainless-Steel-Camping-Mirror-Personal-Use-Emergency-Signaling-/400731996155?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d4d7cfffb

I cheaped out, I went to the local walmart picked up one of those sunvisor mirrors in the automotive section. Used pliers to pull out the metal clips that we're installed. They just slip right out. Put on some 2 sided tape and put on the lid, been there for a year, no issues and cheap. :)

If you give in - your next project will be the Tour Pak vanity. Perhaps a bidet.
