installed new frictions and steels, and a new compensator ( barnett scorpion ) as i have done before., only this time the bike will not go in gear ( even with bike off, it rolls as though its in neutral, no matter what gear its in) pull clutch lever, with bike on and i get a rattling noise from primary..... readjusted the clutch and still nothing... any helps greatly appreciated.....

Did you readjust the clutch rod after putting the new setup in? You don't have hydraulic, right? IF not, adjust to specs. Loosen the cable up first before adjusting the rod.

i adjusted it at the rod first, then the cable.....rod slipped out on me, thinking maybe the ball bearings at the ramp fell out...

If the clutch lever has resistance then the ball & ramp is in working order because it is pushing the pressure plate out as needed.
The rattling noise in the primary is a sign that something is wrong so taking off the outer primary cover and doing a inspection is something you should consider.
You could try adjusting the clutch again but make sure to loosen the clutch cable before adjusting the pressure plate screw.
What is weird is that the bike should go in gear without using the clutch when the engine is off, take a close look at the shift linkage and the shifter splines.

Stripped the splines off the front pulley...... Geez.
