Just want to give a positive shout out about the dude on the phone this morning. DJ.

I called to verify the new breather was the one with no holes. And he confirmed that. Went to order it and seen shipping at $65.65. Damn.

So I called him right back. He found it odd too. Only choice I was seeing was USPS 2 day. (Shop Pay) page it took me to at check out.

He took my email address and sent me an invoice with free shipping.

Can't ask for more than that.

I was completely on the fence about this but so far I am glad I went with the Trask Assault AC and this External Breather.

@RFG7680 Glad to hear that Trask Performance took care of You John.
I contacted Them yesterday and They called me right back and explained everything I needed to know about the Assault Air Cleaner and Breather Kit that I have installed on My Glide and was informed the issues were with M8’s. I spoke with Eric he was very accommodating and informative.
You cannot ask for more than that when it comes to Customer Service.

I had good luck with their Customer Service as well when I wanted to order parts from them. I sent an email about Canadian ordering and the Jon Trask himself replied on a weekend. Compared to the big builds and kits they sell, my order was marginal, to say the least - but he took care of it. I had an error with the order (they sent black instead of chrome) and he also dealt with that as well - had me ship it to a Canadian dealer to save time and money and they immediately shipped me another.

@Rmcouvi03 and @RFG7680 Guys I do believe that The Trask Air Filter Element is available in either Black or Red at least it used to be.
Might be worth a call to them. They are very accommodating.

I ordered mine from Dennis Kirk. And I’ll likely be getting the K&N for it.

@Rmcouvi03 yes that would be the Number that is supposed to fit in the Trask Air Assault Air Cleaner but I can tell You for a fact that it does not fit properly. It will crush once the arms are tightened and trust me I tried everything to make it work. I ended up buying a new Filter from Trask and it fit like a glove.

Mike measured the two filters, the K&N is 1/8" larger by his measurements on our Twinkie intakes. Below are pics of the K&N and then the Trask - they both get squished on my intake, except the K&N doesn't have the mesh on the inside like the Trask and my Trask paper inside was looking rough after a few seasons. I clean it once per season and the first season I didn't have the oil bypass, so it was getting hot oil puked on it.

Here is my K&N filter installed on my Trask intake:

Here is the old Trask filter I took off - same waves, shitty mesh inhibiting air, and getting chewed after 2 seasons.

K&N E-3226 filter for Trask AC update. Due to Amazon's ease return process I went ahead and ordered the K&N Air Filter mentioned on that other forum and just as @Mike U stated it was a little too wide to fit correctly in the Trask AC. I measured the width of the filter all the way around and one side of the filter was 1/8" wider than the other. I'm sure that difference is acceptable for the designed application but at the same time I thought that was sloppy for an American made company. I rolled the dice and ordered the same filter straight from K&N and it arrived today. I measured it all the way around and it was spot on. I test fitted it on the Trask AC today and it fits perfect. I've come to the conclusion that the seller on Amazon is selling factor 2nd, or blems for the same price as the K&N site, who also shipped for free. If any of you are looking to try this mod, I'd order it straight from K&N. This is probably part of the reason some have success and some didn't. Below is a picture of the test fit. The glass isn't installed yet but the filter is cut out to fit the glass. The one from Amazon also had alot of loose filter media coming off it that I had to cut off. The one from K&N was perfect.

Seems worth it if what I’ve read about the stock filter is true. Makes ya wonder why with that price tag it didn’t come with the K&N in it. Kinda like the External Breather. No T. No filter. Not even options to add when ordering.

Truck still in the shop. Waiting on parts I’ll assume. I don’t bug people that are working on my shit. Lol.
