Title says it. It's starting to drive me crazy. Tune it, and run for a while and start noticing some days runs great nice and smooth. Next day rough and chunky... Am I the only one who notices this?

I guess since I'm mentioning this, occasionally it will cough and stumble off idle after come to a stop and start up again.

I've got PowerVision mapped ECM in a 2012 stage 1. Auto tune basic couple times based off FM base map.

Ideas welcome.

Yesterday was 130 miles on a tank when it coughed right as I started makin a right turn. I buy from the same place when I'm commuting.

I'm actually wondering if blipping the throttle when downshifting is messing with the learning/trims. Not to mention I tend to use the throttle as a "hey i'm here" when moving through slow traffic.

No codes. Freakin fuel infection...

I'm starting to feel your pain. I've got about 600 mi on my tuner and did 2 autotune sessions, short 80mi trips. I try to use Non-ethonal premium but changed on one of my rides. My bike ran like Sh&* until I filled up with better gas.

I'm hoping that just doing more longer AT sessions will improve my ride. Currently the bike is running OK, some PoPs on Decel and feeling increased heat on my right leg. Also, at speeds >85mph I feel icreased vibration in my floor boards.

Question: What happens during an AT session when you turn the bike off? Do you loose your data if you dont save it by a certain time?

You will not lose the data by turning off the bike as it is saved automatically.

My first AT session I thought I lost the data collected. Kinda missed the part in the manual about what to do after i stopped... So I started over. Didn't realize it retained it. But, I did see that there were log files which I checked out in Log Tuner, but at the time couldn't figure out how to export to a tune, (well actually it would not allow it, greyed out option). Anyway... started over and things were a little better.

But I've noticed this a couple times now. After the first tune I rode for a few months like that with no AT or any changes at all. Slowly over time it was getting more cold blooded and I was getting surging during initial riding while still warming up. Throttle started feeling like an overly lean carb, this was happening over several tanks of fuel. Reflashed the tune and ditched the trims and it was better. So I'm fairly confident it's the learning which is playing into this.

Regarding the Ethanol comments. Around here we have shit gas all year round due to bad air quality. Winter gas used to be the worst, but over time we've been pretty much switched to winter gas all year round. It really is shit. But, we sit in a bowl and smog just hangs. It is what it is... But it would be nice if the narrow band O2's could handle closed loop with a richer mix to adjust accordingly for the ethanol (14:1 vs 14.6).
