They have Land Speed timing runs this weekend at the former Loring AFB in Limestone.
Started 3 years ago, lot of practice and testing for Bonneville. One of the few places on the East Coast with room to do this. 2 10,000 ft B52 runways + runouts, and 8000 acres, all open.
They were running a GT40 at 200mph + up there last summer. They drove it up I95.

LA Harley has some connection with a turbo RoadGlide running this weekend.
Cant make it up there or to Sharkweek, but I will try and keep up with it and
see what he runs...L-A is posting on their facebook page too

The Secret Society may well be the coolest AND the fastest

Wishing them good luck with the RG Turbo! 144HP & 169TQ at 4500RPM means there's be alot left on the table RPM-wise, hopefully he gets the off-throttle issues corrected.

I'd love to see what they are able to accomplish, please keep us up-to-date!

off his facebook post on L-A harley:

"Had a great weekend!Had a agreat motor and a ill handling chassis. On my first licence pass was easy 125 mph no problem, wrong.started off the line easy, slowly throttle up to 4100 r.p.m's in 5th gear, about 110 mph it slowly started to sway ...,so let off the throttle and speed back up to 125,wobble starts to get worst,so i coasted through at 116.421, a new limestone record for my class.my next pass mike marston and I worked on the steering damper, this pass is for my 150 m.p.h. pass, took off hard up to about 125 or so, bad wobble, tried to drive out of it,just got worst, coasted through at 98.606,went back to the trailer for the night.Well the harley road glide is a wonderful road bike, but was not made to go fast, so I stripped the fairing and bags off and had myself a stripped bagger! went out sunday morning and went through the gears, much better, but still a wobble, went through the traps at 129.491. bettered my record.Once again I had a great weedend, looking forward to next year, got a whole year to fix.And I want to thank my wife, mary jane, L-A Harley ,mark michauld, dave couyard, bill hale and all my friends.photos later.
