I ordered a one piece Ultimate X Midrider today. Kinda pricey, but stock seat gave mamma numb butt and if mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. ;)
After I get it I'll post my thoughts.

With the rain cover and shipping it was $565, so I guess that's not too bad. I like their guarantee, you have up to 14 days after receiving it to contact them if you're not happy and they will refund the cost minus shipping.

Seat arrived today. It looks like a quality seat. Put it on the bike and I'm happy with the look, but it is 50 degrees and raining. So, I'll have to wait a day or two to try it out. It's supposed to be 80 on saturday, so maybe I can get the wife out for a nice long ride to try it out..........more to come.

We need pics. I had a VTX and everyone raved about those seats. No personel experience but I always thought they looked way too big for the bike but boy I bet they are comfortable. $565 is really not that bad, I am looking at a C&C seat and it would be around $700 with everything and moded to move me back and down.

Road Test

First long ride with the wife on the new seat, we did about 150 miles. No numb butt, no sore legs. Mama gives the seat two thumbs up, so it's a keeper. I would recomend the Ultimate X to any one looking for a comfortable touring seat.

Hi from Canada,

We are thinking of going the same way for our 08 RG as we live about 30 mins away from the Ultimate factory. Tried a corbin dual tour and the boss says it's as hard as a rock! As I'm stuck with a 30" inseam; did the seat leave you at stock height?

Thanks,

Pete

I think it left me pretty much at stock height, I haven't really noticed a difference. I have a 32" inseam and it fits me well. After a few months and a couple thousand miles, the wife and I still love the seat. It's the most comfortable seat I've ever ridden on.
