Ok, a couple weeks back my wife and I got married. When we returned from our honey moon, a buddy of mine gave me a Power Vision which he had in his last bike, and no longer has any use for. I know very little about this equipment. From the research I have done so far, Dynajet states that's the power vision is only capable of tuning 1 bike, as many times as you want, but that now you can purchase additional licenses for up to 3 bikes.

Has anyone done this yet? How do you go about doing so? I have read it's an addition $200 to unlock and other license. Does anyone know what kind of information they will need from me to go about doing so?

$200.00 to unlock it ? wow. I have one from my '12 RK that I was hoping to sell but at that price for an unlock I'm going to take a severe beating. I'll have to look into that a bit more.

Look all ya like, but thats the way it works. It can be used for everything else it does for no extra money, but flashing a different ECM requires an additional license.

I've seen power visions selling used for as low as $100, maybe a lttle more with accessories, mainly due to the re-licensing cost. I am considering buying one but I am hesitant to go used for much more than that because it'll cost me $200 to get it licensed before I can even hook it up to verify that it works.

I currently have two of them that are worthless without unlocking.
Personally I think if you can show you trade off or sold the bike they should unlock it for the new one. The units do not last forever anyway.
The 2013 I traded in will sell when it does I may just give the one to who ever buys it. Will even give them the mount for it.

I would like one for my 2016 for all the tools it has not really interested in tuning the bike with it. If it is not unlocked the only thing it will do is diagnostics.

If you want to know if it works download PC software and hook it to you computer if it works there it will work on the bike
The Power vision will work on a bike it is not married to except as a tuner all other functions will work on any bike it is hooked up to. The PV has a lot of useful tools some may want even with using it as a tuner.
I ended up giving the PV tuner to the person that bought my 2013 from the dealer.
