That's nice! How is the riding range? Can it do 150+ miles on a tank? It looks like it's designed that way. I always thought the V-Rod motor would be a great platform for the touring line. Good job, you probably didn't expect such a good reception here eh?

Don't be afraid of living with an open mind,,, your brains will NOT fall out! :D

Personally, I love it. Only thing I'd want to change is the rear fender, to make it conform more with the bags.

That's bad ass! I agree about the rear fender, but I've ridden a few VRods and they rock. You did a great job. Saw a couple of them at SWIII and they were really nice. What kind of mile range do you get?

Love it! I really wanted to buy a breakout and convert it just to be different. You did a pretty good job on that and I would guess it runs pretty well. Be great if you could bring it to Kerrville to see it in person!

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I will be attending the ROT rally the weekend before but being as I actually live here, I should be around in the evenings during shark week.
The Vrod rides and handles very well with the fairing and bags. I have always preferred the RG fairing so I feel right at home on this bike.
Fuel range is the big downfall... it has a 5 gallon tank and gets 30 - 38 mpg depending on how it's ridden. When on a highway trip running 90 mph, I start looking for a gas station at about 120 - 130 miles depending on where I am.
I toyed with the idea of a full rear fender but I do like the fat back tire look for now. This is not a show bike or anything... it has nicks and scratches and gets ridden a lot. I ride it more than my other bikes just because I enjoy riding it so much. I was over at the dealer the other day looking around and am planning on another new Roadglide soon but I don't plan on getting rid of this bike. A lot of people ask me what model it is... many think it's factory until I tell them otherwise.

Here are a few pictures from my ride down to Leakey yesterday. If ya'll get a chance, be sure to do the 3 sisters ride south of Kerrville.
