Vantrue Falcon 1 (F1) Continuous Dual Camera System On My Road Glide (Video)

So after seeing Itsabouttime's post with his video hitting the deer - it seemed the right time to buy and install the Vantrue F1 System for my 24 Road Glide. I'm no longer "on the fence" deciding which full time camera system to install. Itsabouttime settled his total loss with his insurance company in a week. Video evidence is good (or bad depending).

I did a few things different than Vantrue's recommendations with my install though. First of all I didn't like the "brain" under my seat getting dirtier than shit like everything else under there so I mounted it in my Tour-Pak. I figured I'm not taking the TP off so why not keep the brain out of the weather altogether? The cables were all more than long enough to make the change from under the seat to the Tour-Pak. Plus I can access the SIM card much, much easier by leaving the weatherproof cover off (and its tiny screws). Another change from the norm was I ran the switched and battery connectors both to one of my accessory coax outlets under the seat. It's fused for heated gear so it's more than good enough for the camera system AND I really don't want something "on" the battery when everything else is off. Especially on the temperamental battery 24's. I figure I'd lose the automatic "parking" function if somebody hits my bike while I'm away, but that's a trade-off I'm willing to make to make sure my battery isn't being drained when "off".

Anyway, here's a little video I strung together from a ride a few hours ago. Best watched in 4k. ;) ☠ 🇺🇲

I just installed my F1 Falcon last week. I don't have a tour pack, so under the seat the brains go. I mounted the camera, ran and secured the wires. For power, as per the manual, battery and an accessory. The 24's have an accessory fuse, which I ran to. Parking mode retained.

Good image quality and its fairly stable. I have a 512GB microSD and it's been working just fine. Unfortunately, I lost that little, tiny screwdriver, so unless it's absolutely necessary, it'll stay where it's at. I can download the 1-minute (adjustable) clips to my phone.

So am I understanding this.......It's on a continuous recording "loop" and that time is adjustable?
Where your vid shows pip, so you have a front and rear cam installed and both are recording simultaneously?

DISREGARD.....I actually put forth a little effort and clicked your original link....man that was too much effort for one day.... :ROFLMAO:

Hey Lumpy, I'm not seeing the plug you used for a power cable from the "heated gear" ports under the seat. I have a set of gerbing heated gloves here that plug into it. I'm guessing I just need a male plug that same size to do what I need to do. Wish Radio Shack was still around. They were great for little shit like this.
