Greetings
It appears that over time/ware/abuse the saddlebag lids can/do deform a bit making it nearly impossible to get them to seal properly (or at all..). Hence the left bag lid on Alice is at a point where even with a new late model gasket it still has enough of a gap to audibly vibrate at around 2,200RPMs making a sound - loud enough to be heard over the drag pipes - that sounds a lot like the Jetson's car. It is kinda funny for about 5 minutes...and then it quickly gets annoying as hell.

So... does anyone here know of a well proven or (reasoned) theoretical method for removing the warp or straightening (however one wishes to phrase it) a saddle bag lid?

Thank you,

Stoic Joker

I don't have a clue there, your bags are a different style. Have you tried eBay for used parts. Had your bike been 98 or later I was going to see if I still have my stock lids.

Yeah the old stuff is getting harder to find. Which is why I was planing/hoping to to salvage (e.g. straighten) the existing lids.
