Okay ladies and gentlemen, were getting started in planning next years CA spring ride.......SW for the west coast working man :p

When:
FRIDAY JUNE 27th thru Monday June 30rd
As with last year, Friday will most likely be a travel "to" day and Monday will be a travel "from" day. Leaving all day Saturday and Sunday to ride

Where:
Napa valley and surrounding areas - I'll probably find a host hotel outside of napa, to keep the cost reasonable

HOST HOTEL: STAYBRIDGE SUITES - 4775 Business Park Dr Fairfeild CA 94534
To book reservations call (707)863-0900 and mention that your with the RoadGlide.org group
Standard King suit is $124/night plus taxes
1 bedroom king suit is $143/night plus taxes

The hotel has a free breakfast, I think this place has more than 1 waffle maker too
We are going to bring a BBQ with us so we can BBQ Saturday night

We booked the biggest block of rooms we could, but if everyone shows this year that says they will, it will fill fast so book your rooms ASAP. We will work on a scondry location if need be, there is another hotel down the street

Who:
Anybody that wants to ride, meet new (and awesome, like me) people LOL if you want to bring friends on other makes/models of bikes...the more the merry. However, there's only enough room for RichieRich's attitude so everyone else will have to leave there's at home :p

If your your interest in going, have questions or want to help let me know!!

Oh and maybe the hotel won't burn down the day after we leave this year  which I still think Lundboy had something to do with it  LOL

We are in !!

Hi All,

Well we just booked a room so we will be there for sure !!

Looking forward to seeing some of the folks I met at Shark Week 3 and lots of new friends as well.

I'm sure it will be lots of fun.
Sounds like we missed a lot of good stories from the last hotel you all burned down. LOL

Good to see mjsdouble and partner again for sure !! Quick desert ride with them last time. Lots of fun in the sun and rocks in St George.

Anybody know if Pope Valley has anything to offer to a group like ours ??

chase car

So I talked the wife into joining the festivities. The fact that its in wine country probably really helps. this will be both of our first time getting together in a group. I cant tell you how excited I am. Ok the point of this post is to say the wife will be following me in the car (shes not a big fan of riding along) so we will have room to bring things to help out. If theres any way we can help just let me know and we'll see what we can do. Lookin forward to meeting everyone.

Hey Marty. When I did drink I wasn't into wine lol. Beer was my thing and I work next to Miller Brewery. I still enjoy the smell.

If you've never ridden the coast you should do exactly what you're thinking about. You will not regret it. When you cross the border into WA state take I-5 south to Highway 20 east, which is just south of Burlington. Follow 20 onto Whidby Island and then south to Keystone. At Keystone catch the ferry to Pt. Townsend. When you get off the ferry in Pt. townsend take US 101 north around the tip of WA state and then all the way to California. the scenery just gets better the further south you get.

I've ridden that route several times and I never get tired of it. I'll probably ride it again this summer.

being my own boss SUCKS!!!

don't count me out yet, But I may not make it this year

Wifes new career is in full swing and I live at my shop with no free time in sight to take off for 5 days to make the trip. pisses me off but I knew going into this deal of business ownership that the first couple years were going to take all my time and energy. if I can swing an Iron butt run I will be doing it solo, no way the wife will put up with an 700 rip in the saddle
might be able to run down friday afternoon stay saturday and head back sunday. if i can swing this Bill you think I could crash with you ?

There's been more saying they want to go then have actually booked rooms, I'm going off do room count as it's more of a "commitment yes". I'll have some room counts tomorrow :D

Should be a great time and great weather!!

I live here (Sonoma county) and haven't gone wine tasting LOL cuz I don't drink wine

What I'm hoping for is to have two ride options for Saturday, one for people who want to make a large loop through wine country to the ocean or lake and back. Direction will depend on the weather and heat that weekend

They're talking ran Saturday, if it's stays dry we're going to go pre ride a few route to get mileages etc

Bodega bay is about 35 minutes from my door, let me know next time your up this way!

Just got back from visiting my parents in Santa Rosa 2 weeks ago. I drove my truck from LA but I usually ride my bike. I was probably 15 minutes away from you.

My friend and I will be staying in Santa Rosa the night before we meet the group in Fairfield. I turned it into a 200 mile ride since we're only 45 minutes from the hotel. We'll be heading up and around Clear Lake on the 29. Let me know if you want to meet and ride with us.

I know we're 60 days away from the event, but just wondering for those riding up from S. Cal on Friday 6/27...What time are you thinking of leaving?

I figure it's about a 8 hour ride with stops from Santa Clarita.

Any thoughts?

For those coming from SoCal, if your coming up from I-5 I reccomend cutting across the delta on the way to the hotel (highway 12 west from I-5 in lodi/Stockton)

For those that are interested in coming up through SF, if you haven't before) I'd be game to meet up in the BayArea somewhere and take the more scenic route

All depends on everyone's ETA
