Okay ladies and gentlemen, were getting started in planning next years CA spring ride.......SW for the west coast working man :p

When:
FRIDAY JUNE 27th thru Monday June 30rd
As with last year, Friday will most likely be a travel "to" day and Monday will be a travel "from" day. Leaving all day Saturday and Sunday to ride

Where:
Napa valley and surrounding areas - I'll probably find a host hotel outside of napa, to keep the cost reasonable

HOST HOTEL: STAYBRIDGE SUITES - 4775 Business Park Dr Fairfeild CA 94534
To book reservations call (707)863-0900 and mention that your with the RoadGlide.org group
Standard King suit is $124/night plus taxes
1 bedroom king suit is $143/night plus taxes

The hotel has a free breakfast, I think this place has more than 1 waffle maker too
We are going to bring a BBQ with us so we can BBQ Saturday night

We booked the biggest block of rooms we could, but if everyone shows this year that says they will, it will fill fast so book your rooms ASAP. We will work on a scondry location if need be, there is another hotel down the street

Who:
Anybody that wants to ride, meet new (and awesome, like me) people LOL if you want to bring friends on other makes/models of bikes...the more the merry. However, there's only enough room for RichieRich's attitude so everyone else will have to leave there's at home :p

If your your interest in going, have questions or want to help let me know!!

Oh and maybe the hotel won't burn down the day after we leave this year  which I still think Lundboy had something to do with it  LOL

For you SO CAL folks coming up I 5 if you are getting hungry part way Harris Ranch in Coalinga is a fantastic restaurant.
Figure most know of it, but still worth a reminder. Always stop there on the way to Laughlin. I have even ridden 3 hours there just for lunch.
Getting close now !!!
+million (can I do that) on Harris Ranch. Amazing grub.

Sad news guys..... i have to cancel this years trip to Napa. I have to have Cataract surgery 7/2 and the Pre Op is Friday 6/27. I then have a major deal closing at work on Monday 6/30 that I need to be in LA for.

I'm thinking I might, just might drive up Saturday, Have dinner with you guys and drive back Sunday. Then again, I'm getting too old to do a Bonsai run. Maybe next year.

Have fun!

SOUR GRAPES my friend. I'm glad you're getting the eye taken care of and the major deal at work will help with the new wheels :D. You'll be missed Bill.

Very sorry to hear this, Bill. One, because of your absence, and two, the fact that you have to get the surgery. Who's gonna take my picture in front of the dog groomer now? I hope you do manage to make it up even it means via the cage. Wouldn't be the same without you!
And who's gonna get the large container of Starbucks for the wake up :D

Bill, hopefully you can make it for just the weekend.......only to old for the bonsai runs if you alow yourself to be :p LOL but best of luck with the surgery my man!!

Aaron, just toss her on the back and head down.....come on, you know you want to!!! :D there's even a fire station "near by" this year LMAO

Cold weather gear ?

I doubt the need for any rain gear or leathers. Last couple days it has been over 100, we are about 50 miles SW of Napa. Usually warm to hot this time of year.
Will be cooler at the coast, but I wouldn't rate it cold.
We sometimes get a freak rain in June, but that is not the norm for the area.
Riding in t-shirt and vest, sweatshirt for evenings, that's about it for me.
Personally wouldn't worry about the rain gear.
Of course, your results may vary as they say.

^^^ yeah, that ^^^ it was 98* yesterday with about six clouds in the sky all day ? we'll have a better idea about "freak rain" as we get closer but I would plan for nice weather ? ☀??

Bumping this up. The wife just got her vacation time at the new job approved for this ride. This will make the trip more enjoyable. We had planned on leaving after she was off work on Fri. Now we will be leaving early Fri morning :D.
