Got a state inspection ( way overdue...:D) and made the round trip to work and back. Already hitting 92 degrees here, but kept her moving through traffic with a little breeze so life is good.

Modified stereo brackets to stop rubbing through on outer fairing using drenel and the HD rubber strips ($8) and installed new Boom Audio speakers....... Sound is much cleaner at higher volume and tweeters bring out the high notes!

Tightened up some loose bolts to stop a drip, then took a ride with some buds to Blanco for some pie at the bowling club cafe. :) Took a quick nap time break and am now at nordstroms with my girls shopping for dresses...............yay!

Went to a nearby Indy and got a new front tire. Original 407F was cupping and figured with 15,200 mi on the front, why hassle with the poor ride any longer. Put on an American Elite and seems pretty nice after a 150 mile ride. I'm guessing I'll get 22k miles on the rear based on how good it still looks.

Installed new brake pads on the rear. Thanks to the postings in the Glide Tech thread, it was a snap! Much improved stopping performance now though those HD Brembo pads are a bit pricey......

Bought and installed a set of front axel covers. More purty chrome.....:D

Also purchased the big fat service manual for my 2009. Love all the details and pics. Should save me time and $ down the road....

And oh yeah, I rode her for about 200 miles for breakfast and lunch in the Texas hill country... Great temps, but heavy winds were a bitch when heading south..

Updated the Boom software to MY19.19.03.00 and got my dealer to flash for WHIM. Apple CarPlay now works without/without headset or actual WHIM installed.

Am I reading this correctly; the new Boom update allows for Apple CarPlay? Which version of the Boom?
Yep! A fellow Harley rider mentioned the video from LawAbidingBiker on YouTube when I picked up my ‘19 FLTRU last Saturday. I viewed it and went to my dealer first thing Tuesday morning. They applied the Boom software update, then used digital technician to enable the “WHIM Installed” setting and voila! First time they’d heard of it so were a little surprised at the outcome. I sent them the link to the video. They were good guys and didn’t charge me anything for the 15 minutes it took them to make the changes.

I think it only works on the Boom GTS for 19’s though, so not sure if it’ll be offered for pre-19’s on the older platform in the future or not.

Installed Kuryakyn floorboard bracket extenders on the new ‘19 FLTRU. Had them on the ‘09 and loved the result.

Well I got up this morning thinking that since it was my last day with nothing to before my knee replacement I should put on some miles as it’s going to be awhile. I decided what the hell I may as well go & test drive a M8.

I headed out and was going to hit our local HD when I decided phubck it, took a left instead of right and ended up 160 miles into GA at a dealer up in Tifton. Looked around a bit at the new Roadies, including sitting on a special & CVO.

Never did ride one though, maybe after the knee is rehabbed & I can actually lift & bend it enough to use the rear brake again. Didn’t want to take a chance of wrecking someone else’s property.

To make a long story short, I ended up getting in a 320 mile ride in, got home safe without any incidents from cages.

It was a good day all in all. Come on rehab!!!

I stopped at Tifton last year on a scenic route return from Biketoberfest in Daytona. Got a T-shirt. Nice people.

A bath with Adam’s waterless wash and two coats of F11 on all painted surfaces of this new FLTRU. Hopefully the Vivid Black will keep it’s shine and the micro scratches will stay away for a looooong time.

Had a busy productive day. Installed vent screens, added some colored vinyl to the front, installed reflective tattered flag decals on saddlebags and temporarily installed the new LRS windshield for height verification. I’m bushed...

Love the thin blue line flag stickers. Retired LEO or a supporter? Where did you happen to get them? My LRS works great for me, I went with a “13
Not a LEO. I ride missions with Patriot Guard Riders and wanted to add some graphics that support those efforts. Here’s a link to the folks I worked with (let them know Keith referred you):

Loving those decals. Thinking I'd put those on my truck.
I used River City Cycle and Graphics. They’re great people; flexible and fast. They can scale the size of their designs to fit your needs. Let them know Keith referred you if you decide to contact them ?
