Road Glide lost some weight today. Fuel Moto RTX Riot 2 to 1 arrived at the house this morning, pretty quick installation. Using the PV4 Bluetooth flashed a fuel moto provided tune as well.

Took it for a 20ish mile loop ride and the pipe is already starting to turn the desired gold color. Photo after ride below.

As mentioned by some others installing this exhaust it does have spacers to push the exhaust side floor board out a bit for clearance. My opinion is the spacers should be about half the thickness but on my short ride I really didn't notice it, time will tell if I change that up a bit.

I am satisfied with the pipe, should get some more miles this weekend as the temps are due to be in the more desired 70's.

Fox Creek Leather grip covers arrived today, so got them installed. See they make lever covers too though didn't see available without fringe like these grip covers, they make grip covers with fringe too if looking for that. These feel great, installed laces down as my finger tips grabbing laces feels more natural. Time will tell how they hold up.

Ordered some lowers on Amazon from TCMT for $99.99. Seen some youtube videos and other posts about them so took a chance, figuring if they are poor quality will send them back. They are amazingly well done for the cost, unbelievable in truth. The doors to the compartments open and close well, I am pretty sure in a heavy downpour whatever is in there will get wet, least on the bottom but no experience yet, just my thoughts looking at them.

Least for the standard black it matches HD standard black very well, no clue if it has a clear coat or not, nor how it will hold up. I will likely paint the bike Candy Red in a few years so time will tell. Took it for a quick ride and they perform well, improved stereo output a bit as well, the Klockwerks 14" sport flare did more to improve hearing the stereo but these helped a bit more as well.

The lower straps required a good bit of reforming to make work. Other than the straps easy install, took maybe 30 minutes even working the straps to a new form.

i've been running those same lowers for over 3 years now. they still look good.
That is great!

another thing that you can do, is to replace the glove box enclosure with a genuine hd one. both sides, with doors cost about $200. i hate that cheesy pebbled texture plastic that comes with them. i much prefer the oem rubberized coated ones.
That is awesome to know, may just do the same.

Enjoy your weekend!

Yesterday evening installed LA Choppers 12" hammerhead bars. As many who have installed these have mentioned, the hardest part is running the throttle side. I first tried some waxed thread I had a spool of, tying a nut to one end and using gravity to guide it through the bar. Clutch side cable ran through it well, took some back and forth but not terrible. Throttle side took me 4 tries, waxed thread broke try 1, changed to 12lb fishing line it broke try 2, doubled fish line and broke try 3. Try 1 through 3 I believe they broke from rubbing at the horn weld location. Try 4 I used 14 gauge wire on to the controls and second to the throttle by wire loom. Took a good bit push and pull, some very short back and forth and eventually they made it through.

I disconnected the battery before removing the stock bars and installing new as a safety measure. Got them installed and tested ever switch and fired it up no issues but the check engine light. Called it a night, had some beer watching a movie with my wife.
This morning I pulled the code and learned it was P1608h, loss of continuous battery connection. Cleared the code, guess each time one disconnects the battery will have to clear that code. Easily done on bike itself which is nice, hold odometer button down before and while turning ignition switch to on. Click odometer button through menu and hold it to select, when reading the code hold odometer button down and it will clear.
So this morning finished the trouble code. Glued the stock grip to the new bars and laced the leather grip cover back on completing the install.

Supposed to be beautiful day, looking forward to the first ride with these bars as the stock bars were the first thing I wished to change.

Snow day here in MN so decided to start the project disassembly and installation of S&S 475c cam and 55mm intake. Stopped just before removing the cam bearing to clear the inch or two we got in MN. Think I smoked the friction disc in the Ariens so will have to disassemble that too. Lunch is over so back to it.

Point of no return, just before cutting the push rods.

Front suspension due to arrive today. Hopefully didn't jump the gun, started disassembly of the front forks. Decided to replace the riser bushings with Drag Specialties polyurethane while in there. Waiting for suspension to arrive before disassembly of the second leg.

American suspension Mach7r forks assembled and installed though need to drill out the threads on the front fender for the new interior mounted fender bolts yet. Bike should be fully assembled next week. Have 14" RWD rear shocks so was aiming for a +1" front, assembled the Mach7r with stock tube was +2 over stock. I cheated the tube up a bit while retaining the top tree cover so likely a plus 1.75" over stock
