I changed out my ac from the heavy breather with compact filter to the ventilator with the black elite cover. I think it came out pretty good. I just got tired of the front of the filter being 1/4'' from the magnetic door on the lower.

before:

after:

and I did a little minor surgery on my fullsac baffles so that I could install the short slash up/down exhaust tips. the hole through the tip was not quite big enough for the baffle to pass through so I had to cut it off so that the baffle would end just on the backside of the plate. I'm pretty happy with it.

to be honest, i never but ESP for any vehicles.
i usually don't either, but with the track record of the cvo 110, i felt in this case, that it would be prudent.

i may end up going the same route if my engine blows. just rebuild it bulletproof and then cancel the remaining esp on it. hoping it doesn't happen though

i went hardcore. i ordered a set of the chrome windshield trim off of amazon ($31 as opposed to hd $100+), scuffed it up with a scotchbrite pad, and painted them gloss black. they aren't as smooth as they would be if i had them powder coated, but i'm okay with it. isn't like i have a powdercoater in the neighborhood. of course, the wife being the perfectionist that she is, is gonna want the hd black ones that are almost perfectly smooth.

i guess i go cheap so that she doesn't have to (y)

if nothing else, it camouflages the mounting holes and lower edge of the windshield. the lrs shield just doesn't fit exactly right, knowhatimean?

took off the lowers. too much bug crap to clean everytime i ride.

yeah. bugs are back
Lol...and I was thinking about buying a set of lowers to put on my bike....
with lowers, the bugs get on them. without lowers, they're all over your pants. which is worse? i'd rather clean them off the lowers than have them stuck all over me for the better part of the day until i get home to change.

One of my friends lost his FOB somewhere on the highway, which he didn't figure out until he went to leave my house after we all stopped for a cold one. Not knowing his security code and after I tried many options of codes, the time came for a lift to the shop at the end of the night.
does he have a spare fob, or is his bike one of the new ones that only comes with one? if so, that's going to be an expensive fix for something that should have been done before he left the dealership. bet he doesn't do that again.

Took it out of storage and went for a ride! Only had and hour to ride but took two hours to get home! Ride was great! Only problem was, my new helmet started to give me a huge headache. Almost to a point that I was going to stop and take it off. I kept at it and got home. Now I need to figure out what caused it.

i have found that sometimes during manufacture, they don't clean up the inside well enough and there is styrofoam residue inside under the liner. that little booger turns into a princess and the pea scenario after 50 miles or so. after cleaning that up, if you still have 'hot spots', use something hard and rounded, like a cue ball, and 'moosh' the foam in the area where it is hurting your head. that usually does it for me.

I’ve had those levers in the cart for a few days now. Having a hard time pulling the trigger for $275 or so.... post up a few pics when you can.

are you looking at black or colored? or chrome? if it's one of the colors or black, you may consider buying them directly from oberon in the uk. i bought my clutch lever (black) direct and it came out to almost $50 less than hog leverage.....

I got them off of eBay. The manufacture name is TCMT. I know a couple of people that said these were pretty good. I bought the new style that comes on the newer bikes to put on my 2013. My bike is vivid black so they are fairly cheap.
what did you end up paying for them, if you don't mind me asking?

I got my tcmt off of amazon for about $105. been pretty happy with them. while waiting for them to come in, go to your local dealer (or hardware store) and buy the bottom p-clamp. the one that comes with the lowers is too small.

I also changed out the gloveboxes on them to the genuine hd boxes. I really didn't like the molded, texturized finish that they do an all the aftermarket lowers. replaced for the rubberized finish, and the doors work better. so actually have about $200 wrapped up in them now.

i did two things today. i had previously gotten the ventilator air cleaner from bigmeat45, but coming from his cvo it had the 117 badging on it. ordered the 114 badging and after being on backorder for a while, finally came in.

the second thing i did was to install the defiance floorboards that i also got from bigmeat45. between working shifts, and the crappy weather, i haven't gotten a chance to take a test ride, but i think i'm gonna like them. i have really short legs so my feet sit further back and my heel would hang over the back edge of the stock boards. these being a little (almost 4'') will give my heels some support.

thanks bigmeat!

just noticed that now it looks like i'm gonna have to order the defiance brake pedal....
