What did you do to your Road Glide Today?

I've seen these threads on other forums, and they can go on forever. Just some place to post what you might have done in any particular day.

I'll start with this past weekend. I went out Sunday morning intending to ride down the road, any road. When the first 40mph gust of wind hit me, I changed my mind and headed over to Iron Pony instead. It being early Sunday, and the service dept was open, I decided to get the new tires I was needing. So, a few dollars later I ended up with two new Dunlop American Elites and new pads on the front brakes. They were out of the Metzler ME880's, but these are new model Dunlops, and it appears they only make two sizes so far, both just happen to fit my bike. Web site says more sizes coming in 2011. Only have about 300 miles on them, but so far they seem to be good tires. Holds the wind well :D (Sunday was VERY windy, almost got blown over getting off the bike)

Next up, Progressive 940's are on the way.

Had a busy productive day. Installed vent screens, added some colored vinyl to the front, installed reflective tattered flag decals on saddlebags and temporarily installed the new LRS windshield for height verification. I’m bushed...
Love the thin blue line flag stickers. Retired LEO or a supporter? Where did you happen to get them? My LRS works great for me, I went with a “13

Loving those decals. Thinking I'd put those on my truck.

Had the fueling race pump, cam plate and S&S premium lifters installed in my 124. No problems just for piece of mind. It’s purdy.

They’re black reflective. The company I worked with on the design was River City Cycle and Graphics. Let them know Keith referred you ?

They have a FB site: https://www.facebook.com/rivercitycycle.graphics/

Not a LEO. I ride missions with Patriot Guard Riders and wanted to add some graphics that support those efforts. Here’s a link to the folks I worked with (let them know Keith referred you):

I used River City Cycle and Graphics. They’re great people; flexible and fast. They can scale the size of their designs to fit your needs. Let them know Keith referred you if you decide to contact them ?

New Michelin Scorchers

2010 FLTRX, just replaced Metzeler 888s at 10,000 miles (rear nearly treadless).
The Michelins lean with very little effort in the curves. Never had a tire quite like these.
Makes the bike handle as if it were 600 lbs vice 750 lbs. Reminded me of a 1988 1200 Sportster I had 20 years ago.

Mount jsr 12" and finished late at night... sometimes you have problems that it seemed impossible to have, still searching for aligned ignition switch. It work but not all functions :surprise:

We are going for a two day ride today, i will post pics later

Well I tore the bike down so I could ship the reverse pulley back to Suspension Technologies to get repaired.

In the process of that I found this little gift I picked up somewhere on my ride home from SW IX.

Bike is getting some miles on her. I bought the bike in June with 6.460 miles on it.

Thank goodness for Tire & Wheel Protection. Cost me a whole $54 for my new tire.

Now I wait for the reverse pulley to get sent back to me so I can ride again before the weather gets too cold to enjoy anymore.

I checked to see if the primary vent, fitted to my 2019 at the 5000-mile service last week, is working.

It is!

After 400 miles, zero transfer. Gearbox dipstick drips gold, removing derby cover reveals the oil level to be where it should be.

''Yours was one of the worst we had seen,'' the service foreman told me last Monday when they fitted the vent under warranty.

Previously, I was draining the primary with a big syringe pretty regularly and returning the excess to the gearbox.

The weather is about to turn here, and already i have 5500 miles up in 4 winter(ish) months. I'm looking forward to spring....and a hot summer...my cars are already gathering dust. ;-)

Glad that metal “plug” in your tire got you home. Hope to see you again at another SharWeek if not before!
