What did you do to your Road Glide Today?

I've seen these threads on other forums, and they can go on forever. Just some place to post what you might have done in any particular day.

I'll start with this past weekend. I went out Sunday morning intending to ride down the road, any road. When the first 40mph gust of wind hit me, I changed my mind and headed over to Iron Pony instead. It being early Sunday, and the service dept was open, I decided to get the new tires I was needing. So, a few dollars later I ended up with two new Dunlop American Elites and new pads on the front brakes. They were out of the Metzler ME880's, but these are new model Dunlops, and it appears they only make two sizes so far, both just happen to fit my bike. Web site says more sizes coming in 2011. Only have about 300 miles on them, but so far they seem to be good tires. Holds the wind well :D (Sunday was VERY windy, almost got blown over getting off the bike)

Next up, Progressive 940's are on the way.

Installed new fang lights. Wasn’t absolutely positive I’d like the look, so went the inexpensive eBay route with TCMT whom I’ve had successful dealings in the past instead of Ciro. Very nice build quality and I like the lens styling better by comparison. Not quite as bright as Ciro3D, but they’re pretty nice overall and definitely attention getting in lower light setting like evenings and nights. Time and miles will tell about longevity and therefore value.

Springfield keeps it very simple, I don’t think it’s really changed all that much in a few years, just added a few channels. Basically same owners, they just had a different channels with the same people for the most part I think.

Weather was 60 today and cloudy. Needed to get some Xmas gifts, so I took the bike. Lesleys car is getting inspected, so she took my car. So I took the bike. Did 100 miles. About five minutes before home it started to rain. All good.

Put in a parts quote request to HTHD yesterday. Hopefully squeak in an order before the Jan 1 policy change. Waiting to hear back from Brian.

I'm guessing that any dealer can sell parts at whatever price they like, I just think that the MoCo doesnt want dealers providing an internet commerce-based race to the bottom, so I suspect that HTHD and others can continue to sell at 20%, you'll just have to call them
Change out the bad regulator on the bike. Now it's charging properly, a day too late.

If that ends up being the case, then business as usual 😉
Finished body working my fender for the swap and primed it.

I had painted, flaked, and cleared my side covers, bag lids, and front fender. Still several steps to go along with graphics, some kandy and accent color but it's progress.
