What did you do to your Road Glide Today?

I've seen these threads on other forums, and they can go on forever. Just some place to post what you might have done in any particular day.

I'll start with this past weekend. I went out Sunday morning intending to ride down the road, any road. When the first 40mph gust of wind hit me, I changed my mind and headed over to Iron Pony instead. It being early Sunday, and the service dept was open, I decided to get the new tires I was needing. So, a few dollars later I ended up with two new Dunlop American Elites and new pads on the front brakes. They were out of the Metzler ME880's, but these are new model Dunlops, and it appears they only make two sizes so far, both just happen to fit my bike. Web site says more sizes coming in 2011. Only have about 300 miles on them, but so far they seem to be good tires. Holds the wind well :D (Sunday was VERY windy, almost got blown over getting off the bike)

Next up, Progressive 940's are on the way.

Had legend suspension installed. Went with revo A’s in the rear and axeo’s up front. Also got an s&s stealth air cleaner and firebrand muffler 2-1 conversion done. Bike runs better that’s for sure! Going to take her on my quick 200 mile loop tomorrow to test out the suspension. I was talked into going with heavy duty springs even though I only weigh 200 and ride solo all the time. The axeo’s are set at 1 to go along with the firmer sportier ride. From my short ride around town it’s obviously stiff as hell. But the real test will be that ride tomorrow that mixes freeway, highway, and mountain roads. I’m hoping I didn’t make a mistake with the hd springs. But with my freeway speeds being around 85-95 most of the time and how sh*tty the so cal roads are, I was told the heavy duty springs are the way to go. We’ll see. Either way I’m stoked on the new parts
when i first got my legends, they were pretty stiff. and i only got the standard springs. give em about 500-1000 miles to 'settle in' before you make a final judgement.

I had ordered some black mirrors apparently.
I wanted to try the “down mount” with them.
they worked very well with the 10” bars. I was only wearing a damned Dixxon flannel and the bunched up part from the wind dangled a bit in the field of view.

A test 80 mile test ride. To a watering hole and linked up with a rider I knew.

Good day.
Ride safe Riders!

Thanks man, I appreciate the reply. I’ll definitely run’em for a bit before I do anything. 🍻

Please tell me more! Where'd you get the wheels, the Fat Tire kit, and did you have to modify anything on the rear.

Thanks!!

Got the wheels off of Motorcycle Wheels Parts and Accessories | RotationWheels.com talk with Don. Great customer service and very easy to deal with!

Fat Tire kit is the Bad Dad Wide Tire kit “easy”. I went with this kit because I wasn’t sure if I would like the fat kit and might want to change later on down the road. It keeps factory triple trees and rake. Just changes the upper fork sliders and fender. I went ahead and bought new chrome fork lowers from Arlen Ness to complete the look.

And no mods to the rear at all!

Road Glide lost some weight today. Fuel Moto RTX Riot 2 to 1 arrived at the house this morning, pretty quick installation. Using the PV4 Bluetooth flashed a fuel moto provided tune as well.

Took it for a 20ish mile loop ride and the pipe is already starting to turn the desired gold color. Photo after ride below.

As mentioned by some others installing this exhaust it does have spacers to push the exhaust side floor board out a bit for clearance. My opinion is the spacers should be about half the thickness but on my short ride I really didn't notice it, time will tell if I change that up a bit.

I am satisfied with the pipe, should get some more miles this weekend as the temps are due to be in the more desired 70's.

Added a new phone mount from Techmounts after my magnetic mount which was mounted to my Iron Aces Mount that is attached to the nacelle released my iPhone 13 Pro Max which then flew over my head and under the wheels of the truck behind me. Just want to be clear it wasn’t the fault of the Iron Aces Mount.

When you start to steel wool the melted boot rubber, you'll appreciate that extra spacer depth. ;) Pipes look great
