Mine will just be 10”, which is just a couple of inches taller for comfort. I’m jazzed about the adjustabiliy. And that they are 1 1/2 diameter which should make wiring easy peasy.
I'll be going with 14", but the adjustable sweep was the seller for me. I prefer bars wide and close to drag bars. These should do the trick nicely.

Chalk another one up for the zippers axle adjusters. I was kind of hesitant because I liked the design of the Krause/MJK better where it tied into the lower shock bolt, but that wasn't an option. So went with the zippers and they fit up and secured just prime. Shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever next season.

Also did some polishing on the new exhaust, might not be rideable yet but damnit she's gonna look good sitting in the garage at least!

Fox Creek Leather grip covers arrived today, so got them installed. See they make lever covers too though didn't see available without fringe like these grip covers, they make grip covers with fringe too if looking for that. These feel great, installed laces down as my finger tips grabbing laces feels more natural. Time will tell how they hold up.

Just finished installing mine. With 14”s I think you’l be replacing the clutch and brake cables/lines. As with all things there are always a few surprises to navigate. Rerouted the clutch and brake line/cables even with just a 10” install. The KST instructions show the way on that, and then you feel your way along to get it all synced up.

The one takeaway, and “pro tip”. They say use a rubber mallet to pound the Pioneer bars into the base before install. Screw using a rubber mallet. I beat on that thing with a rubber mallet like an indian war dance, and finally went and grabbed a dead blow hammer. And not the 2lb one, but the 4lb. If you don’t have one, order a cheap 4lb from amazon. When your done you’ll thank me.

And a $6 dental pick off ebay, they ship free. I don’t know why it took me this long to finally buy one.

Ordered some lowers on Amazon from TCMT for $99.99. Seen some youtube videos and other posts about them so took a chance, figuring if they are poor quality will send them back. They are amazingly well done for the cost, unbelievable in truth. The doors to the compartments open and close well, I am pretty sure in a heavy downpour whatever is in there will get wet, least on the bottom but no experience yet, just my thoughts looking at them.

Least for the standard black it matches HD standard black very well, no clue if it has a clear coat or not, nor how it will hold up. I will likely paint the bike Candy Red in a few years so time will tell. Took it for a quick ride and they perform well, improved stereo output a bit as well, the Klockwerks 14" sport flare did more to improve hearing the stereo but these helped a bit more as well.

The lower straps required a good bit of reforming to make work. Other than the straps easy install, took maybe 30 minutes even working the straps to a new form.

Decided to head out and attempt to ceramic coat the bike today seeing how the humidity is down and it’s a nice day.
I had bought a bottle of Blackfire Pro Ceramic Paint Coating Black Edition back in June, never got to it due to humidity.
Pulled the bags and side covers, washed, clayey and then paint prep for the surface. Just finished up the back half, will start on tank, faring & frt fender tomorrow.

i've been running those same lowers for over 3 years now. they still look good. that lower strap (aka p clamp) took so much work because it is actually for a 1'' bar. i just replaced mine with the stock one for 1-1/4'' bar.

another thing that you can do, is to replace the glove box enclosure with a genuine hd one. both sides, with doors cost about $200. i hate that cheesy pebbled texture plastic that comes with them. i much prefer the oem rubberized coated ones.

Did a 2 hole on The Bitch. Threw in 4 quarts and warmed it up, checked and put me 2 dots from the bottom, I run it at 3 from the bottom. Off I go for an anniversary present for the wifey. Got back after about 150 hard miles and the bag and engine is covered in oil. Blowing out my A1 vent again. Check it again and 2 dots from the top. 😡😡😡 like where the fuck did it come from. Maybe I’ll pull the sensor next time and make sure it is completely empty

after 3 bikes with the swept wing floorboards, the wife wanted to go a different route. she selected the endgame series from hd. i gotta admit, compared to stock, they are built pretty nice. and i think they look pretty good as well.

have the shift peg on the other side, but the shift lever is still stock. the endgame one is on 20 week back order.

Road it in what was probably the best late October weather in michigan that i can remember. the entire lower peninsula was in the mid 70's. road from the crux of the thumb (bay county) to the Cadillac, then up to Petoskey, hit the tunnel trees, over to Mackinaw City and Cheboygan, and then down 33 home. The fall color was still very good. 500ish miles with great weather and better friends.

first significant time on the bike since breaking my ankle in three places in August. fuck it felt good to put miles on. now reality will set in... as will the "real" fall weather. Rhonda will probably be headed for her long winter's nap. pics and vids are still on my gopro. i'll post anything decent i might come across later.
