What did you do to your Road Glide Today?

I've seen these threads on other forums, and they can go on forever. Just some place to post what you might have done in any particular day.

I'll start with this past weekend. I went out Sunday morning intending to ride down the road, any road. When the first 40mph gust of wind hit me, I changed my mind and headed over to Iron Pony instead. It being early Sunday, and the service dept was open, I decided to get the new tires I was needing. So, a few dollars later I ended up with two new Dunlop American Elites and new pads on the front brakes. They were out of the Metzler ME880's, but these are new model Dunlops, and it appears they only make two sizes so far, both just happen to fit my bike. Web site says more sizes coming in 2011. Only have about 300 miles on them, but so far they seem to be good tires. Holds the wind well :D (Sunday was VERY windy, almost got blown over getting off the bike)

Next up, Progressive 940's are on the way.

The speed bleeders look like a very nice little upgrade at very low cost. Thanks!
As much as I enjoyed getting my sons out to teach them some mechanics, bleeding brakes with them was painful as they let the reservoir empty time after time. lol. Speedbleeders make bleeding brakes painless and a one-man job. Once you have them, you will always have them on every bike that you plan to keep and bleed brakes.

There are many companies that sell them, I bought mine right from Speedbleeder: http://www.speedbleeder.com/

Sexy bike sir!!!!

I’ve wanted to powder coat the rear pulley on mine since forever…. The rough texture it’s coated with OEM does nothing but attract dirt and grime. I’ve never been able to find any type of cleaner or polish that will restore it for longer than a few hours until it’s again dull and grimy looking…….

Got the Alloy Art Touring Stabilizer mounted……. Getting the nut on the back of the right side mounting post was a bitch due to very limited access to get to it in front of the ABS module….. After dropping the washer and nut down into the nook and cranny abyss twenty times, I called my wife out, and her small fingers were able to get to it……. We’ll see if it helps with high speed wobbles as getting one of those at 90 MPH takes the pucker factor up to 10……..

Rode the 8 miles to dealer to get the flash for my oil cooler fan. Got home 60 miles later. Would've stayed out longer, but it wasn't fair to keep my dog in the house on a nice day.

That will look bad ass…. Now you need to pair it with a billet swing arm……..

We recently did a chain drive from Prism Supply on my sons 2001 Sporty and it really came out nice. Particularly on his bike with no bags it really stand out and looks sweet……. Yours is gonna look awesome…..

@Mike U - seeing as the tax return cash flow is gushing - perhaps look at a Better Lever for your trans shift arm while you are in there. Might need it once you start mashing the gears with that chain drive. https://www.betterlever.com/product/better-lever/
