I've seen threads similar to this that could help us get the full use of it.

It's ok if things get repeated, it will just keep it on top.

I learned the other day that when getting messages and opt to listen to them everyone sounds like a female robot. Just kidding

But on a serious note if you are not getting your texts pushed thru to the GTS you have to make sure you notifications is turned on your phone under messages.

Follow this path to get it working:

Bluetooth - Boom (TM) Box GTS - Show Notifications (make sure this is selected on)
Notifications - Messages - Make sure Banners is selected

Power down your stereo for at least 30 seconds then turn back on and you should be set.

Feel free to post up anything you like or learned about it.

The INFO screen and the trip summary screen upper left and right fields only work when there is a destination set in the Nav unit just like the last model. Two weeks ago I noticed the Info screen had the same info in both the left and right screens when navigating. I then went online and pulled up the GTS manual and it said the left field was departure time and the right field was the arrival time. I also found the latest software was MY19.18.42.01 and my radio had MY19.18.32.01 so I took it to my local dealer and had them flash the new update to see if it corrected the problem and it did not. My dealer suggested I contact Harley customer support and tell them about the issue which I did. Long story short after several e-mails and phone calls in the last two weeks yesterday they told me the left field would show the arrival time at a waypoint if there was one programed into the route and if not it would show the same info and arrival time as the right field. Because I had printed out the manual two weeks ago I knew that was not what the manual said however if you go to the online manual now they have changed the manual to say Arrival/time/distance to VIA. So they fixed it by reprinting the manual.
The people on the phone with HD customer support 1-800-258-2464 were very nice and said they wanted all the feedback from customers they could get about the new GTS Boom Box and that they shared the work space with the Boom Box engineers. Being that I had a case number I sent them some feedback on how I would like the three INFO screens to work. I don't know if it will lead to any changes or not. Here were my suggestions.
1. INFO Screen
A. In the left field it should show the time you started the bike, how long you have been riding the bike form the start time, and how many miles you have ridden from start time. This information should be displayed with or without a destination set in the nav system. The information could auto reset after the bike had been turned off for about six hours or so.
B. In the right field leave it just like it is providing information about the final destination programed into the nav system. If no destination was set then it is blank.
2. Engine Info screen
A. Show the actual oil pressure in the left field in place of Oil OK or Check Oil.
3. Trip Summary screen
A. The upper left and right screens should display the same information they do now EXCEPT they should do it without the need for there to be a destination set in the nav system. As for as how to reset them it would be best if the rider had a way to do that whenever they choose to do so. If that was not an option then let them auto reset after the bike has been switched off for about six hours.
I don't know If other riders agree with my suggestions or not but If there are issues or things you would like to see fixed or changed if we as riders don't tell them they will not know.

This would be nice. Doesn't the GT 6.5 give actual pressure or temp or something? If the FP3 can read it and display it in the app then the bike should be able too as well. We've already got a dummy warning light this is basically the same exact thing.

2019 FLTRU/Engine Info Screen Access
You can get to the engine Info screen without actually touching the Info icon button on the radio panel. Just punch In and hold the Leftside toggle until the Home Screen pops up then toggle with right side to your desired place.
Really liking this infotainment/gps system. Apple Play works great too but only if you have a headset connected to the bike.

I have a major issue with the trip summary screen, it does not reset automatically and indicates crazy MPG figures ie over 100 mpg....I wish lol

I agree it would be great to have a manual reset so it will show miles travelled, start time, mpg for a trip without having to use the nav, most cars have this option as standard, wake up HD can't believe this was not added by default, its not like its a new feature in the cheapest of new cars

Yelp I have gotten up to 250 MPG . I am not sure if the latest software update fixed that or not. Like I said in my earlier post Harley is looking for feedback and we need to all be contacting customer support with issues and how we would like it to operate. If we don't tell them they don't know.

New to me since this is my first with a GPS but love that I can create maps on my computer, my ipad or whatever has internet access, save it and then pull it up on my phone and send it to the GTS. This is one of the main reasons that sold me fast on getting a 2019. Went riding this past 5 days and used it everyday.

separate from the 'create' a ride option, while on the bike riding the wife and I wanted Starbucks and I pulled up the POI and looked one up. Fast and painless. Loving this thing so far.

If you have a headset and a iPhone, you can voice command "find closest Starbucks" and google maps in the CarPlay will pop up and route you there. Much easier.

Don’t you need WHIMM(?) installed on your bike to get voice actuated CarPlay features?

Not if you're using a wired headset. As long as you have a headset hooked up to the bike CarPlay activates. If you want wireless then yes you need a WHIM.

Learned I can use my set of Bluetooth headphones to listen to music on my phone but use the hand control to change the track.

My headphones double as my ear plugs.

I found you can use an aftermarket headset and CarPlay will still work. Someone on the other message board said only Harley headsets would work.

Also a mic is required. I tried just a cord and disconnecting the cord and they both caused CarPlay to either not work or close.

What type or what headset did you test that with?

The one you see in the pic is an el cheapo POS I got off eBay for like $30 that KILLS my ears so I never used it. It's basically a Microsoft computer headset that someone put a 7 pin DIN connector on and it works, it just sucks hard. I use both the HD half helmet and in the in helmet ones when I ride for real.
