Afternoon all,

I just returned from a 4600 mile round trip from KC to Fresno CA.

I believed I averaged from 38 all the way up to 46 mpg.

I am new to the this bike and Harley in general. is this typical?

Just so that its clear, I am not complaining.

Average over the last 4000ish miles is 38 point something according to the trip meter on my Power Vision, who's accuracy is usually pretty close to manual calcs.

Mind you this is 99% 2-up and neither of us are fitness nuts.

I can get 42-44 wandering around at 55mph, or 35 if I run 75+mph.

My normal riding I average 38 and I'm not to easy on the throttle. We did a 577 mile day trip this weekend to Savannah GA and I was getting 42.5 running two up and around 60mph. It did drop down some when we ran on the interstate. 13 fltrx with a stage 1 and TTS tune.

30 to 45, depends on right wrist action..2 up (me and wife about 400 pounds) on interstate cruising 80-90, we get around 38 MPG, drop cruise speed to 70 and can get low 40's..Me alone cruising interstate 80-90, got low-mid 40's.

Only had my RG 10 days and almost 1400 miles. I have a low of 38 mpg and a high of 43 mpg I ride pretty hard and some of the miles are 2 up with the wife. I am pretty happy with this so far.

Two bikes, 2010 with engine work and basically stock 2016. When the 10 was 96ci if I stayed at 70, I would actually get close to 50mpg, but normally averaged around 42. Now it's a 107 and I get around 35 to 40 depending on the speed, the 16 (103) gets about 38 to 44.

Kind of an interesting thread. Not too inflammatory. Most all in the same ball park.

On the low side around 45, in the mountains, and pushing it a little. On the high side 54, in Nebraska, side roads, running 50-55 mph

Bone stock engine, decatted head pipes, powervision, solo.

:surprise:

Is that hand calculated or some electronic device?

That is phenomenal fuel mileage.

Hand calculated by my wife (she's a payroll accountant) Add to that the fact that while on long trips we tend to ride rather conservatively so as to enjoy the scenery more. And I almost always have cruise control on. Plus.... Old Guy

Nice responses Thanks! I use to have 2014 Valkyrie and generally got around 35-42 depending on the right wrist action. But with this a 2012 103it seems to be doing a lot better and just wanted to compare to make sure I was figuring right.
