This is my "Goosebumps" song meaning that when I hear that opening riff, I just fade off to another part of myself and sink into the music - The tune is bittersweet for me as when the Ex decided I was no longer that important, this was my song - Now that I know what life and love REALLY is, I can come back to the song and enjoy it for what it is.......MUSICIANS "playing music" in Harmony and Rhythm - I miss Rock & Roll - Music is a huge part of me and always has been and I have about (3) songs that no matter what, just make me go off in my mind to another place.

Sure as hell don't make music like that anymore. Always liked these guys, never got the chance to see em in person tho.

Love my classic rock, it's all I ever listen to. Some songs bring back some really good memories, some take me back to days that just put me in a "wanna be to myself" mood.

Either way, you can't beat that time in history when the music was real, I mean really real. Can't think of another way to explain it. So, does that mean I'm getting f*ckin old??

Yes we are getting older and the music from the past is what I call real music.
Eddie that song is on every playlist I put together for riding.
One of the best songs ever.
I prefer classic rock first and country music.

Led Zeppelin will always be my #1 band of all time.

For country I like artists like Jason Aldean & Brantly Gilbert.
They have a great southern rock sound with a country twist.

Real good music has always touched my soul.
Different music for different moods.

That period of "Southern Rock" was a significant moment in Rock & Roll for me. That music, (along with being introduced to blues music by the Allman Brothers) around that same time, set the tone of what I liked for music for a long time. While blues is my favorite genre, I tend to like all 'roots' music whether it's called blues, gospel, bluegrass, reggae, or something else. Of course I gotta have me some hard driving Rock and Roll reasonably often, and of course my favorite singer/songwriter - Neil Young.

Glad to see I am not alone in my music mood

Swo, Zep is by far my fav band - I had a "ZoSo" jean jacket in High School.......yep, who thought they were Barney Badass....? That Marshal Tucker is just a song that freezes me every time - As mentioned, I have (2) more and Zep is one of them - The other is The Animals - Zep goes back to my stoner High School days and when I got my first test of "Zep 3" I was blown away, I think even more so than 1 (which was VERY Blues Focused) and 2 (which is one of their best IMHO) but when I heard a track off 3, it has stayed with me forever - The Animals is a wild story about a VERY real life dream I had after my Dad died where he and I were speaking and The Animals tune was playing in the background......I remember waking up and feeling "comforted" like I just got an "Atta Boy" from my old man - Hard to explain.

Anyhow......Zep tune that gets me:

And The Animals.......this one just its me every time...from the keyboards to the Cymbals......goosebumps

Lots of good music mentioned on this page. Like a lot of you Led Zeppelin is what rock and roll is to me. Jimmy Page was my musical inspiration as a young kid noodling around on a guitar and continued to be throughout high school and even to this day. II was what drew me in but Physical Graffiti will always hold a special place for me. That said, III's Since I've been loving you is far and away my all time favorite tune. The heavy blues driven feel, Plant's wailing vocals ("Do you remember mama, when I knocked upon your door?
I said you had the nerve to tell me you didn't want me no more, yeah
I open my front door, hear my back door slam"), Bonham's utter destruction of the skins, Jones's dark moody bass line and mastery of the Hammond organ and in my opinion Page's best studio solo. It just sums up Zeppelin as a whole for me. If you listen to the remastered version you can actually hear the squeak of Bonham's bass drum pedal, pretty cool stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8R7zjJMIfU

Zep also has a few spots in the old Brain Bank when it comes to drugs and my youth - Anyone remember Mescaline? - First time I tired Mesc we sat in my buddies bedroom listening to records and staring at his Fish Tank - he had a White Albino Eel that was about 8 inches long and just enough body that when it swam, on drugs, to this song, our minds got blown away - I remember it like it was yesterday but it was over (35) years ago - His tank was Velvet Red everything and he had all white fish and (1) white eel and this song (whole album actually) just freaked us the fuck out

I know Jack Mentioned the album and KT mention JPJ........this was JPJ's fantasy song in TSRTS

Never did try mescaline, but shrooms were definitely a part of my life for a few summers (very similar from what I understand) Also had been known to partake in some blotter from time to time in my younger days. Lots of good stories to go with that time period!
