I have seen one

I have seen one at our local shop, and I know some of the guys on the forum have seen them. I think at least two people I have seen on the forum have already pulled the trigger on new rides.:D

I stopped at my local dealer on Saturday and they had 2 new 2011s on the floor and were putting together a few more in the shop.
They had a 2011 SG with the ABS/103"/ Security package, and a 2011 Road Glide Ultra.
I asked if they ordered those bikes with the Value package, and they said that the first run of bikes, th dealers dont get to pick what they get. Its all random right now. Im sure you will be seeing more at the dealerships in about a month.

I think most dealers are getting the Road Glide Ultra right away. I know every dealer around here does, even if it isn't on the showroom yet. From the looks of it online, most people that mention the 2011 models says they have a RGU on their dealers floor.

My dealer had the 11 RG Ultra on the floor in that brandywine color. ehh. Also had an 11 Dyna wideglide in yellow with black flames...looked sharp. My sales bud showed me the 'secret list of bikes we are getting' on his computer. Around 4 RG Ultras, about 7 SE models, only 2 SE RG Ultras (both black). All coming between now and OCTOBER. The dates shown were when they would leave the factory and it would take time to transit ...

......... by design, likely
....... lots of left over batwings @ PPHD, NO leftover RG's, prob'ly like that in lots of dealerships
...... by sending out the RGs they have a full range of baggers for folks to look @ & they can concentrate on assembling the 'new Flagship' at the beginning of the manufacturing run.

Went by my dealer today to check on those wind deflectors. I got to talking with the owner about the new bikes, and buggin him to pull the RGU out of the crate. He told me he has no room, which he doesnt. There was 4 crates on a gooseneck outside that he was hauling to storage because there is no room. He said he is getting 5 more bikes in next week, and they are all going to storage until he can sell some bikes off the floor. I asked if he had any CVO Road Glide Ultras coming,.. he said "I might have one here now, and one coming next week" Then he just smiled. Thats crazy that he has to leave brand new bikes in crates until he can move so older models out. I don't see how the old ones are gonna sell, when people want to see the new ones and buy them.

Congrats! Did you buy it from Ventura HD? I've never bought a bike from them but they seem like a cool dealership.
I bought it at Simi Harley in Moorpark. They had just gotten it in and rolled it on the floor. By 11 am. Saturday it had my sold sticker on it.

I think Simi Harley and Ventura Harley used to be partner dealerships but somewhere along the line they split up.

The purchasing experience was very pleasant but no discounts on the 11 RG Ultra's. Paid MSRP.

I had been going back an forth with them on a 06 EG Ultra Classic but we couldn't meet on price. I went back last Sat. to wave a pile of cash in front of them on the EG and saw the RGU on the floor. Done deal. I have no experience with the older touring frame but I am very impressed with the handling of my 11 RGU. Equal to my BMW. Considering everything I've read about the handling of the pre 09 touring frame, paying $8k more for the 11 RGU was the right move for me.
