I know this is minor but every time I wipe my bike down I knock the plug for the 12v accessory out. It sticks out quite a ways and does not stay in very securely. It just seems like it wasn't very well thought out. Has anyone come up with a better solution than the plug that comes on the bike?

I haven't looked yet, but I bet a good hardware store or a Grainger Supply (or something of the sort) would have a hard rubber plug that would fit into the outlet and protect it without falling out.

I hated mine on my 2010. The adapter for my GPS came too close to the tank.

My solution was a 12v plug into the accessory switch plug under the seat. I leave my adapter plugged in and turn it off with the acc. switch.

I picked up a rubber plug at Auto Zone. It never comes out unless I take it out.

Replaced that socket and plug with a cigarette lighter. Problem solved :D
