Hello everyone..I new to this site..
I have a 2006 RG..and i was just wondering if any parts from a 2010 RG fit onto my 06? For example gas tank, front fairing, f and r fenders etc...
Thanks in advance for any help..

Gas Tank No.

Fairing is the same, just the 2010 has different mounting brackets that lift it one inch.

Front fender I believe is the same.

Rear fender know. The frame and swing arm changed in 2009. 180mm rear end and whole different swing arm. 2008 and earlier had 150mm rear end.

Seats won't work, different frame and mounting system.

lowers and windshields will work, so you have that.

How about the front forks and the front wheel? Will it bolt up?

Since i cant use the rear swing arm can i use the rear wheel from the 2010 on the 2006?

front forks are the same. axle size is different, so if you want to use the newer front wheel, you have to change the axle.

rear wheel, no

the easiest way to tell is to look at the parts manual. if the 2010 manual calls for the same parts as yours, then there should be no problem getting them to fit. i know that the triple trees in the 2007 manual have an -87 and an -89 prefix so it would seem that any bike from the last decade would have interchangeable front ends.

Thats the easiest way to tell, is look at the last 2 digits of the part number. Those 2 digits are the year the part was introduced. For example, say your part number is 54247-09 The 54247 is the main part number, and the 09 is what year Harley started making the part. There are exceptions, like altered or modified parts that Harley changed 1 little thing on,.. but most times your parts guy will know because their computer will throw up the original numbers along with it.
