yes, and no.

if you just use his cvo slip ons completely stock, then they will be very quiet on your bike. less than stock. they are baffled to keep a larger engine within epa specs.

however, for just a little money, you can remove the stock baffles and replace them with the fullsac power cores and have a great sounding, great performing, great looking exhaust.

seems most folks go with the 2.0 inch cores which are a little louder than stock, but are the best performing. i am using the 2.0s. nice deep tone, does not give you a headache while cruising long hours in the saddle, and is not obnoxiously loud to bother your neighbors early morning or late night. and does not drown out your radio.

Looking for advice, a buddy has an '11 CVO Ultra Classic that he just put new pipes on. Question is: Will his CVO slip-ons make my stock exhaust sound better if I switch them out?
Yup. I'm running stock CVO slip-ons and they sound great. With the stock headpipe the volume is about the same as stock, but the tone's deeper. I ended up replacing the headpipe with a Fullsac DX. This increases the volume a little, but it's still nice and ear-friendly for all-day riding.

I can't recommend the CVO slip-ons enough.

I have a set of 09 CVO muffs. I think they are a slight touch quieter but deeper than OEM.
