My ride is a 99 RG w/ original radio and i am considering a mild upgrade to the sound system. But my riding partner says we need to get a comm setup. This would cut down on the roadside map stops and generally make other traveling decisions easier to communicate. My problem is this--I already have a Garmin GPS (installed w/ iron aces mount) and an XM unit (not installed) none of which are bluetooth. After countless hours on this site and others researching possible solutions I felt I had reached a workable solution that would not make my fairing look like a semi's dashboard! Harleys RoadTech665 seems to best fit my needs and can be transferred to my next bike later on. Navigation,XM radio, bluetooth and can be integrated into the existing sound system. Then just add whatever comm sets we decide on(SENA SMH-10 ?) and WOOHOO!!! good to go. One little problem, the RoadTech will not intergate w/ bikes before 2006! Then in a conversation w/ a couple of other riders today, someone suggested the bluetooth receivers that plug into the aux jack on the stereo may solve my dilemma. Is it possible? Any guidance would be appreciated.
