No issues with Windows 8 and WinPv. If you cannot load downloaded maps you likely need to change the config so it opens .pvt files with WinPv, otherwise open them directly in the WinPv software by selecting open and choosing the appropriate file.
Probably a popup blocker issue. I'd say disable it for Fuelmotousa.com
never mind, just re-read that. As Jamie says, you need to be sure the .PVT files are associated with WinPV. The WinPV installation should have done that, but if not - go to the folder where any .PVT file is. Right click on a PVT file then choose "more options" and you should see WinPV in the list. PM me if you are still having trouble.
Windows 8.1 has an option you can set to boot to the desktop instead of the Start screen.
When you are in the desktop, right-click on the task bar, click "properties", then click on the "Navigation" tab, and check "When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to the desktop instead of Start"
If you arent on 8.1 you should be, its a free update, and it should be listed in Windows Update.
You probably need to go to the Tools section in IE and check the Compatibility Mode. With Windows 8 you have to check that to open sites and download from sites that were created for earlier versions of Windows and IE. My wife got a new computer with Windows 8 and had so much trouble downloading over Internet Explorer due to compatibility issues that I finally loaded Firefox for her browser and that solved all of the download issues. She has a business and depends on being able to download certain design purchases she makes. She no longer uses Internet Explorer that came packaged with Windows 8.
Like to get some input on the SE Smart Tune Pro Auto Tuning Module with the wideband O2 sensors. I've completed a Stage II update on my M8 Ultra and I'm considering adding the Smart Tune module. Any Pro's or Con's with this addition.
I plan on upgrading my ac and looking at which tuner to purchase. A lot of people seem to like their FP3 tuners. Just wondering if the SE pro street performance tuner is any good? Just want to buy the correct one once the first time lol. I don't plan to do any crazy motor work...
There was a recent thread where fuel injection and specifically the function of O2 sensors was discussed. Rather than continue a useless argument in that thread, I decided to provide a little tutorial. A little tutorial from the MoCo.
In a nutshell, there are two types of fuel injection used...
Beautiful day, so i try to go for a ride. As I back out hit the starter, the Stage II, 110 CVO, turns over, but won't catch. Second time it fires, but runs sluggish, no power, won't rev. Just idles, sounds to be missing slightly. I turn it off, and check codes as the engine light is on. ECM...
I am looking for real world experience from anyone that has changed out their cams and used an FP3 as their tuner. I know that V&H is great about working with you to develop a map for your bike to run well, and they have told me they have developed profiles for the cam I am considering, but I am...
