10" WV is what I'll go with after looking at most options. I stopped by WV in CA - here on bus - and although they don't have a showroom Doug showed me the various sizes. He recommended the 9" but I'm thinking the 10" would be better still. I'm 5' 8", 30" inseam. The 9 may be enough but the 10 I don't think is too tall.

Any opines?

5"9 with 30 inseam. Rode with the 14". If I sat up straight saw over it. The 10" should be just fine.
Now you're making me wonder if I should go with 12", which was my original thought. I dono, I'll probably try the 10 to start. Damn I wish there was a better way to figure this out!

I'm 5'9" with a 31" inseam....the 12" Windvest is what I went with on my 2015 RGS. That decision came after talking with Doug at Windvest directly. I see over it just fine with the exception of hilly terrain which does require you to look through it. There's some optical distortion when that happens but it's not anything too severe or distracting. 85+ mph on freeway and I hear the stock RGS stereo on the bike just fine. 14" is going to be too high and you won't get any added wind break benefit.

Yeah. Never easy. Maybe go with one and if it is not the one sell or trade it here? I bought mine from another forum member.

Check WVs policy on returns. They may just let you send it back and get the one you like. Shields are like seats and bars, some trial and error. I have run thru quite a few of each.

5'8", 30" inseam here as well. Started with a 10" WV. Then went to a 12" WV. Then went to an 11" MadStad - nirvana.

On my 15 RG I started with a 10". I'm 6'1" and the wind hit me right on the forehead. I went to a 12" and it's much better but still hits me right on top the head. I tried the 14" in Sturgis and Doug's booth. I couldn't see over it very well without sitting really overly erect. I put the 12" back on and that's what I've stuck with. I don't think there is a silver bullet unless it is the Magstad that everyone talks about.
