Yes, I had to buy the new clamps. You can remove your old ones & install the new ones by turning the front end of your bike. Use a ratchet, proper length extension & I think its a 5/8" shallow socket to remove/install the riser bolts. Just make sure to protect your front fender so you don't ding it. After getting the riser bolts started, I installed the top clamp and then torqued the riser bolts to spec. The top clamp kept the risers straight. Once those are torqued down, remove the top clamp and proceed to install your new bars. (After they are wired of course). I even put a little blue loctite on the riser bolts.
