Wait. Wild 1 has bars that fit the 2015's? Do they come with or without the holes for the hand control clamps?

This changes everything.

No holes for the clamps. You have to break or grind the post off on your controls. No big deal. You will also need the Wild 1's bar clamp. Their bars reduce down to 1" at the clamps. I think it took me about 1.5 hrs to take my stock bars off, run all the wiring, & install the new bars. Piece of cake.

So, you had to buy and install the Wild 1 1" riser and clamp?
Is that included in the 1.5 hrs install time?

Yes, I had to buy the new clamps. You can remove your old ones & install the new ones by turning the front end of your bike. Use a ratchet, proper length extension & I think its a 5/8" shallow socket to remove/install the riser bolts. Just make sure to protect your front fender so you don't ding it. After getting the riser bolts started, I installed the top clamp and then torqued the riser bolts to spec. The top clamp kept the risers straight. Once those are torqued down, remove the top clamp and proceed to install your new bars. (After they are wired of course). I even put a little blue loctite on the riser bolts. If you need ay more assistance please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Lil Chief. I did not realize that replacing the Rushmore clamp was so simple. I located the bolts and it all looks relatively straight forward and easy. I just never considered doing it.

Do you think 14" Wild 1's would work with stock cables and lines?

The tabs on the clamps are easily removed.. i did this for the 12" KST Outlaws I'm running while I wait for my 14" Monkeys...

You just break them off with a pair of pliers.

One more thing for the 15's... the risers are 1.25"... so there is no neck-down needed or wanted. You can run full 1.25" bars... or you can get a 1" riser clamp to run the older style neck-down style for about $60... FYI

Yes, I know you can break the pins off. I don't like the weight of the new clamps. They are way too heavy - and they don't need to be.

I'm going to see if the Wild 1 Outlawz on my Sporty will fit on my 2015 RGS today. Looks like a tight fit with maybe a 1/4" to spare on each side of the tach/speedo housing. If they fit I may do the conversion. If not, I may do the conversion anyway and go with the Wild 1 apes.

I think the Outlaws might fit with stock wiring etc because they are narrower than the traditional Wild 1's. If going traditional Wild 1's its almost guaranteed that the stock wiring & hoses will not reach. It was tight with the 12.5" bars I put on mine, & I ended up using NAMZ 4" wiring extensions just to be on the safe side.
