looking on HD website it’s saying that the 19-21 gts boom audio requires a specific module. Posts on several websites state previous modules work in the gts.

does anyone know what xm modules (part numbers) will work in a 21 with a boom gts system?

thanks

There is two different SIRIUSXM Radios for the Rushmore years.
There is 7600351, fits '14- '18 Touring and Tri Glide™ models equipped with Boom!™Box 6.5GT audio system.
And 76000842, fits '19-later Touring and Tri-Glide models equipped with a Boom!™ Box GTS infotainment system.
It appears to have something to do with the upgraded GTS radio.
I, personally have the 76000851 installed in my 2021 Road Glide Standard, and love it. Here is a link to my YouTube video of the installation of it.

In the Spring of 2017 I bought the 76000351 SiriusXm module for my GT head unit. When I added a GTS to my 16 RGU, in September of 2019, I took the module out of the GT and slid it right into the GTS. Once the radio was "authorized" at a dealer later that day, Sirius was working without even having to call them. Still using the same module to this day and I have the weather and traffic package too.

If you're buying a new module, get the newer module... but if you have the other one already, it does work, and so far at least, I see no difference.

Why buy the module? Just put the app on your phone, bluetooth your phone to either the GT or GTS radio, and select phone as the Media device.

Sirius XM through your speakers
I tried this, just isn’t the same as in a car though. Un less I did something wrong

THAT is a very good point.

It was just from my perspective where the music is not really that important. Especially if I am in an area that can't get cell service.

Well, that bagpipe music I have on my thumbdrive....now that's important.

:)

I guess I best look into a satellite phone just in case I need to use that for an emergency in an area with no cell coverage.

But hey, I would have SiriusXM!! <wink>

I used the SIRIUSXM Docking Station on my handlebars with my earlier Road Glide, and Ultra. But when I tried to install it on my 2021, it just didn’t sound good. So I purchased the SIRIUSXM Module for the GTS Infotainment. It makes my cross country rides so nice with the extra Road and weather information with the SIRIUSXM Module. Here is a link to my YouTube video of the installation. It starts showing the Docking Station I first tried.
