For anyone who is using XTrim, I'm curious what the best way to install it is? Do I need to have the fairing off all together or can I just loosen it up enough to work the trim in between the inner & outer?
I've searched the XTrim site, the google machine, RG.org, HD-forum and Youtube but nothing, no real instructions.

any help is appreciated.

I installed mine when I had the fairing off not too sure about with just loosening the fairing. Maybe take all the fairing screws out but leave the fairing sitting on the hangers may work.

No pictures, but I had it on my 12 and I felt it was a worthwhile investment. Very nice soft, flexible rubber. Although you can install it with the fairing on it is much easier to remove the outer completely.

I just put the Xtrim on my fairing the other day. Your best bet is to take the outer fairing off so you can clean it up and get the new trim on. You need to work it on there so with the outer fairing on it will most likely cause more frustration than it is worth. Sorry, I don't have any pictures to share but I think it looks really good. If your inner fairing is still the stock flat black you don't really notice the trim.
