Im sure the system is banging. Just don't have the money for that. Too many other things need to be addressed first.

If you get one though...you gotta let us know about it fist hand

Was wondering the same myself. I have the Hogtunes 5x7 speakers and amp along with the tweeter pods and I am TOTALLY not impressed. On the lookout for something better and I'll drop the Hogtunes on eBay.
You better not put yours on ebay at the same time I do mine. lol
I got the same system and am very disapointed in it. In fact the left channel of the amp is blown.

LOL. Well, dont they at least have a good warranty? That way you can get it fixed before you sell it.
I bought them on memorial weekend but have not called as of yet. I would assume they are under warrenty still. I plan on getting them fixed and selling to get the j&m system. should of done my homework on this before buying the hogtunes. I am too picky with my audio, you should see my home theatre stuf. lol

I am really dissapointed in my hogtunes hog pod as well. That sucker is coming off next time I have to take my outer fairing off. Still to this day I question if they are even working as I don't hear them.

If you think about it, if you get the $1500.00 system, it comes w/hawg-wired amp, I think is 300 watts. That amp alone is big $'s. From x-perience I can tell you that I've got $1000. in my stuff, and its only the Hawg-Wired DblSht. Pkg. updated w/6.5" Titan-Hertz.If your gonna go w/ a Boomn Sys. This would be a Smart way to start.

That system is WAY out of my budget. I did lift an idea from it though. I got some 6.5" speakers and mounted them in the fairing inboard of the glove boxes. I wired them to the rear speaker pins on the stereo.

With the stock stereo and 5.25" hogtunes in the stock position, my stereo was good up to about 60mph. With the additional 6.5s, and no additional amp, it's good to about 80. I'm still thinking about replacing the hogtunes with 6.5 inchers on adapters that match the additional ones I added. Am also thinking about maybe adding an amp as well. The 6.5" are just some pioneer cheapies that I got at Wal Mart and I'm very happy with them so far.

Im just starting a project bike over winter, and the PYO Super Stereo is top of my list. Though the problem isnt price its the cost of having it imported and possibly being ripped off by VAT and Duty fees. In the UK its hard to get parts and accessories unless you go for stock HD.

I checked with Hawg Wired and for half of the system which is mostly Hawg it came to $1600, so I think the PYO setp is quite a good deal. The 300 watt app alone is nearly $700.

If indeed I go for the system, and get the bike finished for spring next year Ill post some pics and possibly vids
